  1. I'm not talking about the past 2 weeks. We failed to address T Mac's absence. We had the chance to either experiment with Petty up forward or play JVR. Consistent performers at VFL level like Dunstan and Chandler weren't rewarded. We persisted with ANB and Spargo, when they were giving us little. The whole team seemed to lack energy in the 2nd half of the season. Some players were banged up. Maybe some fresh faces could have lit the spark. But the match committee and coaches stuck with the same players and game plan which continually failed against the better sides.
  2. I agree with Jackson, but BBB is being asked to do more than he's physically capable of. He's basically playing his role from last year and TMac's role. At one stage in the 1st half he was at half back. He tends to start the game well but tires in the 2nd half.
  3. Does that make him a "unicorn"?
  4. You complain about the umpires after every loss. How about analysing the performance of the players and coaches for a change? You might find the real reasons for our losses.
  5. Where are all the posters who slagged off anyone who dared criticise the match committee or coaches? Blind Freddy could see that our 2 finals losses were on the cards, based on our form during the 2nd half of the season. I'm not upset. I'm angry.
  6. Rubbish. It's the game plan. Do you think the key forwards like leading into the pocket, or having the ball kicked on their head? But we need mid sized forwards who do more than ANB, Spargo and Sparrow.
  7. I thought Spargo was even worse, but then again that was his stock standard performance.
  8. Not if we waste a pick on Grundy.
  9. You clearly haven't been watching the last 14 games because we've been overrun in most of them. Your BS loading theory is thankfully dead.
  10. Lucky we loaded. We'll be at our optimal on Grand Final day according to binman.
  11. He's part of a football royalty family.🤷‍♂️
  12. I'm expecting an announcement shortly of a new training facility down at the Cattery.
  13. You are kidding? What's your definition of big money? I'm talking about someone earning over $800K. Prestia maybe, and the rest not even close.
  14. Edwards, Lambert and Caddy have retired. Cotchin and Riewoldt have re-signed for 1 year on probably a lot less than what they were earning. They also had a swag of early draft picks last years after losing Chol and CCJ, so they would be on relatively low contracts. I can't see who else on their list other than Martin and Lynch, who would be on big dollars.
  15. Or if you are a medi-sub, which counts towards your games tally, but never actually make it on the ground.
  16. Thanks for your insight Dr. Deenooos.

    Lloyd Meek

Like many 3rd string ruckmen around the league, it's hard to set the world on fire. Meek is never going to get a gig ahead of a Darcy/Lobb combination. Still hasn't reached the prime age for a ruckman. Agree with DD, he's a much better fit in all respects than Grundy. He can learn his craft from Max, while Max continues to be our no.1 ruckman. The notion of Max playing 2nd fiddle to Grundy is nonsensical.
  18. Jackson hasn't proven to be a gun. We should settle for a 1st round pick by your logic.
  19. Hopper is still contracted, hence has more currency.
  20. Please be true.
  21. So the 2021 Premiership 22 get a Gold Ticket into our senior team forever and a day? It was shameful that Clay Sampson didn't get to play in back to back flags for Adelaide, after being part of their inaugural premiership team. How dare they drop him during the 1998 season, and then trade him the following season.
  22. Hope Richo and Perty were wearing their Reg Grundies under their training shorts. If not, the deal's off.
  23. It's fine keeping them on the list if you have faith in their ability at AFL level. But in Mitch Brown's case, we'd rather play a banged up BBB, despite MB's form at VFL being very good. And MB's last AFL game against the Crows was more than serviceable. Retaining Baker was a head scratcher considering he's clearly not in our plans. Should we lose LJ, I'd much rather go to the draft with our picks than blow it on Grundy.
  24. Your source is still more credible than GNF. I'd be sad to see Harmes leave. Seems like a great clubman.
  25. If I was in Freo's shoes, I wouldn't have any issue with pulling the pin. Freo have probably been courting Jackson for 12 months, and probably put a serious offer to him 6 months ago. In the ensuing 6 months, Jackson's form hasn't warranted the sort of money that Freo had allegedly offered. Plus Freo's own unexpected rise may have them having 2nd thoughts. They may think that retaining Acres and using their draft capital and salary cap elsewhere is more prudent.
