  1. He said he still doesn't feel comfortable with going back to the club, which is disappointing.

Although he admits to being a real jerk back then, you can't help but like the fella now!

Thanks DW. That parts really upsetting. He is and always will be a champion of the club. The Ox has a voice that we need to utilize. Hopefully this can be fixed.

  2. All I want to know is whether the keeper league means there will be trading done over the summer period, it somewhat ruins the thinking of the situation, and drafting all up! But it seems fun, having said that I'm happy because I have Watson, Kennedy, Franklin, Deledio, broughton, crameri, swallow, all arguably keeper players, but none are injured so why would. Want to trade them off?

For the keeper system it is basically designed for players like Marc Murphy, who this season may not be much good but next year will be good!

It does mean though that players down the lower end of the table will have a bit of a struggle to find keepers because why would coaches let go of their better players who will win them matches?

Just looking at your current side. I am all for you delisting 3 players to give others a chance! You are very well placed!

  3. In the view of fairness, could we do a handicapped keeper system that might seem fairer to those down the ladder?

    For example.

Position 14-18 (Can choose up to 4 keepers. At least two must already be on their list at seasons end plus the option to pick up 2 players off the waivers if wanted. If multiple players select the same player off the waivers then the lower placed side receives the player)

Position 9-13 (Can choose up to 4 keepers. At least three must already be on their list at seasons end plus the option to pick up 1 player off the waivers if wanted. If multiple players select the same player off the waivers then the lower placed side receives the player)

Position 5-8 after finals (Can choose up to 3 keepers. All three must already be on their list at seasons end)

Position 1-4 after finals (Can choose up to 2 keepers. Both must already be on their list at seasons end)

Draft to take place in the same fashion with player selecting their picks etc.

Personally, I'm for the original system but I do see where Range Rover is coming from. Also having Ablett on my team made me feel a little guilty about the whole keeper concept. But I figure, if I can't make finals with Ablett then I'm probably not going to have 3 other keepers on my list!

Range Rover I hope you do stay, its great to build up a rivalry with the same players each year.

JackAttack, loving the work you do. If people do happen to drop off, please don't abandon this sensational ship that you have created!

  4. We could do with Tom Scully on our list for the next 15 years. This is fact. We should be ashamed he felt it necessary to leave and we must get ourselves into a position that no player ever wants to leave us again...

  5. HT!!!!!

    Trade of the year!

That's a feelgood trade too. Everyone wins. You get the Darling of the league who'll kick you 3 every week, plus Vickery who can absolutely fly when he's up and running. And I get Kreuzer who's a bona fide keeper player and Sam Reid who can be a gun FF.

    Great trading.

Very much a win/win if Vickery steps up

  6. Have they?

    Where are the similarities?

Forget the style of play -- the Geelong list is full of big-bodied contested ball winners.

Even kids like Menzel and Duncan have put on some decent size already.

Yup we recruited to replicate Geelong's list. Watts - (actually picked to be more of a Nick Riewoldt but at pick 1 you take that) - Blease - Wojcinski, Strauss - Hunt, Tapscott-Chapman, Scully-Ablett, Trengove - Bartel, Jurrah - Stevie J. The theme also went onto existing players Frawley - Scarlett, Rivers - Harley.

Anyway our best footy over the past few years was played with an attacking corridor centric brand of football. You know the days that every commentator mentioned how exciting we are, the days we thought that our best could match it with anyone. The days we actually did match it with the best (Collingwood 2010 x2). Breaking our game apart and starting from scratch seems very unnecessary to me.

  7. Cuddles I agree with you 100%. The current crop of players we have were recruited and built to play an attacking game similar to that played by Geelong. Bailey himself came from Essendon and Port Adelaide, two sides which played attacking fast flowing games. Despite the second half of last year we had made steady progress. We shouldn't have jumped ship and abandoned the way we played. We should be embracing the qualities that we already have and enforcing a tough defensive edge. There should be no need to start from scratch and change the philosophies of all our players.

  8. Gee I hope I don't have to play you again Robbo...

Out of interest, is Carrazzo on the table now?

Great close match! Maric really came to the fore for you today!

Not sure on Carrazzo. I definitely won't be dumping him as he'll be great value come finals time. He might be available for the right offer though.

  9. Yes, welcome.

You've put together an almighty star-studded list, you look to be the benchmark. Although a few others would be keen to disagree. Total neutral perspective here. You are the quintessential hot favourite !

Furthermore seems almost bizarre that your brother prior to the return of big Johnno Brown this week, would trade his bluechip out whilst 0-3. Does he owe you or something ?

PS. By geez you got hold of him quick and the trade done quick after last weekends games. I've had am offer on the table for snomeD for days and no reply.

Maybe? I think he jumped at the fact Browny only got 3 touches. That trade offer was actually sent at least a week before he accepted so I have no doubt he'll respond to you in time.

Anyway I'm after a high possession winning forward or a backup ruckman. All my defenders, bar Gibbs are available.

    Also Brock McLean anybody?

  10. You certainly have developed a very strong list, and yet you tried to con me in getting a very good player for a has been.Although he will star this week.Your odds on to make the top 4, and a very strong favorite to win the league IMO, at this stage.Everything being equal ,you should belt Dappa, but he is a good coach, so don't get over confident, my friend.

Will never get over confident. Picking up and trading out McCauley has been the key.

Question from a RF Leaguer - at what point do the position changes come in?

According to their twitter account, position changes will be reflected on Wednesday.

range rover trade accepted, sorry robbo rr's trade worked better for me, dual position player

You chose Conca over Sam Fisher? Or was it Hargraves I offered you? Big call, although I see where you're coming from
