  1. I reckon most folks would think seasons end would be more strategic ;-) Or I could have gone with we already are playing 21 (but that wouldn't be nice)
  2. My sister worked there on reception in the mid 80's. There was a lot of fun at that time apparently. One was Synes and co locking Sis in a cupboard from memory (all innocent fun mind you!!)
  3. The AFL does not punish intent, be it assault or "supplements".
  4. And Barry Prender-aghast sat in the Jetta lounge room while the mom told him Lewis was the pick of the crop (we could have rookied him that year as he missed being drafted). Unlike BP to miss one
  5. The Hodge hit was assault, elbow strike the the head while not involved in the play. Should be charged with assault, why is it ok because it is on green grass?
  6. You could hear on TV him saying "for F... sake mate, for F... sake" When Cross got taken high in the third, you could hear a Dee calling a tiges player an "effing weak dog"
  7. Slight digression here. When it comes to defending ones self, I heard a story from a mate who was in a position where he defended himself. The attacker had time off work as a result of the scuffle and made an insurance claim on their policy which had some type of income protection. The insurance company, as insurance companies do, looked to recover their losses and decided to sue my mate. The point in this story isn't about who is right or wrong or even the level of injury sustained by the attacker (in this case the injuries were exaggerated for time off), it is more about your capacity to fight off a rampant well funded insurance company. Not many of us could financially withstand that. Edit:spulling
  8. Agreed. On the topic of booing our own players, I think it is poor form. As a young tacker in the 80s I remember our own supporters yelling out at S Smith with jeers and insults. i accidentally sat near the Collingwood cheer squad one week and tbh, for all the crap we give them, they were the most supportive of their own players I'd ever heard of any supporters.
  9. Dees2014 has said all along that WADA was waiting in the wings for their shot and that it would end there. Here's hoping Ess are found guilty right on the eve of the finals.
  10. So do we take it that these are some of the drugs that Essendon: A. Were offered by Dank but knocked back by Essendon who then couldn't remember because of no records? B. Were offered by Dank but knocked back by Essendon who could remember because they kept records of just the things they didn't take C. Were offered by Dank and used by Essendon in all likelihood
  11. They must have been pissing themselves laughing on the inside
  12. This little beauty would get all the data back. http://www.z-a-recovery.com/ Have seen it work over two reinstalls of an OS to retrieve data from the original install.
  13. Will sound a bit sappy but that was really heart warming
  14. If CAS get a shot at Essendon, Magner may well get another run, more strategy than anything else from James. Or I'm just in a good mood today and feeling lenient.
  15. Anyone want to have a stab at how long it will take to get to the CAS?
  16. If Essendon the club attempted (or succeeded) to take banned stuff then Essendon the club should be banned by CAS. Do they need to ban the players if they could go the entire club? Edit: And as posted by a previous poster, an appeal to CAS is not limited to the evidence previously presented.
  17. Didn't Jobe state what he took? People may have accepted the line the players knew nothing but that doesn't make it truth.
  18. Makes one wonder how Dank would know the finer aspects of the "advanced" cell biology of the clubs mentioned. Has he worked or consulted to/for Collingwood, Hawthorn or West Coast?
  19. All i can think of would be how NZ is a gateway for Chinese grown food to be rebranded there to more easily slip into Oz. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=chinese+food+via+nz&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=IyIZVZDTG4jM8gXho4DwAQ
  20. I found the following quote interesting at the time, it was in a heraldsun story link posted by someone in the Essendon thread on Danks a few days ago. Dank said: “I need to use much more placental cells and Actovegin ... West Coast, Hawthorn and Collingwood’s tissues are biologically advanced. We need to change our biology for a little while.” Essendon drugs saga: How Stephen Dank ran the controversial supplement program http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/essendon-drugs-saga-how-stephen-dank-ran-the-controversial-supplement-program/story-fni5f6kv-1227281669383 Was Danks claiming Collingwood's tissues were more biologiclly advanced due to more than quirk of genetics? Is there more history behind the scenes than just the two players caught?
  21. I think there are plenty of examples reported here and OS of judicial roles filled by the "home team's" appointments. Those same critical reports believe a certain view would be held by those appointees leading to certain outcomes. If legal outcomes were black and white there would be no need for people to make decisions, personal views, or even bias, may indeed come into decision making, and where any bias is inline with the "home teams" views you have a situation where outcomes may follow a preference of the "home team". I am open to believing this may not be the case but until proven otherwise I expect things to run as above.
  22. Robinson, the square-jawed fitness expert who had advised a long list of AFL and NRL teams, then made the unbelievable claim that Hird had suggested he and Dank should run a “black ops” supplement program. The witness testimonies during civil cases are going to be explosive, truly explosive.
  23. Yeah, great question, where is Dean Terlich? Haven't seen or heard of him in ages.
  24. I've been reading bluey's opinion for well over a decade and despite his tone he is an astute judge. Hope he is wrong on this one but........... Edit: spulling
