  1. Matthew Panos? World beater, that one. Or Lin Jong? Yep, setting the world on fire, that kid. Which one at Sydney? Membrey? Classic tweener. Only has inflated rating due to not playing. If he was getting out on the park you'd see he's not that good. It's not hard to figure out who might scrape onto an AFL list. But saying Coniglio is not up to it just makes you look a fool.
  2. I've seen some highlights where he is THAT quick. Blistering. Beyond that, I'm not sold.
  3. If Chip leaves and we don't trade, I'm confident we'll end up with a combination of 2 of Petracca/Brayshaw/Durdin/Pickett which is an amazing return from the one draft. Big fan of Durdin.
  4. And ironically, a Freo supporter.
  5. She did. Obviously injuries played a part then. If he still hasn't yet made it back, then maybe that's why.
  6. It is a great rule for those late developers.
  7. Age might be another point of difference... Honestly though, like last year, I think it's another draft that goes about 10 deep and you'd be pretty happy whoever you end up with. I heard someone (can't remember who, maybe Callum Twomey, Mick Ablett or Terry Wallace) being asked how guys like McCartin or Wright compare to Joe Daniher, and they said in spite of all the hype, they aren't as good. I think I'd agree and wouldn't be against a trade of the pick, as long as we get back into the top 20ish somewhere.
  8. Clearly not au fait with how the ignore function works. I'll let you figure it out for yourself.
  9. There's a reason I have you on ignore. Silly me for thinking you might have made a meaningful contribution for once.
  10. Stretch named in the best again, albeit one of the last few named.
  11. Gotta say, it's better than being a "know nothing" like you, RTG...
  12. Which part of "free agent" don't you understand..?
  13. Yes, well we're all aware of your opinions... How's Serhat Temel tracking? Coniglio is a gun.
  14. Yes, it's "get them for nothing" in the sense that we got Dom Tyson for nothing.
  15. That's why I mentioned it. He was listed along with about 5 other names, but I expected him to be under contract. This may lend some credence to the rumour. Some.
  16. The Hun today saying that Coniglio is among one of the GWS players OOC at the end of the season. Surprising. But promising.
  17. This is true, but it's partly by virtue of the type their father-son selections developed into. In a funny way they didn't have a choice... although getting Liberatore as a 2nd rounder and Hunter in the 3rd would dull the pain. And at the same time, not much line breaking youth compared to ball-winners, but what exactly have Cooney and Griffen been doing? Macrae and Dahlhaus are handy at breaking lines too. I think their problems run deeper.
  18. So? You think that's enough?
  19. Yes, they will, conditional upon the calculable risk being acceptable. It is no fait accompli that we will select Stretch if we have to pay too high a price.
  20. I think that might be a wish for their president, but not the club as a whole. Heck, the kid supports Freo anyway.
  21. Knightmare's mock drafts are detailed, but I think the accuracy of that detail is highly questionable. Yeah, he gets some of them right, but a lot of them wrong too. Yes, I know, "you do better." I can't. But I've gotta laugh when I see some of his player comparisons, such as Peter Wright compared to "Joe Daniher / Charlie Dixon". It's like saying cauliflower is comparable to "chalk / cheese."
  22. At the same time, that team has to be happy to live with getting Stretch for pick 20-ish if we call their bluff. Chances are that they'll be ok with that though.
  23. I think one thing that will work in our favour (think I've said this before) is how desperately GWS needs decent key defenders, how desperately the Bulldogs needs KPPs and how desperately the Lions, Blues and Saints need KPFs. It means the best mid option should be left for us, even if we manage to finish above all of them. Petracca, Brayshaw, Pickett, Smith. One of them will fall into our lap.
  24. If Petracca can show an ability to consistently go in the midfield, I'd be picking him as a big-bodied explosive mid. Explosive athlete, high level basketballer, a dunking point guard at that. I'm not a fan of him if we're going to play him as a forward.
