This is Deakyn Smith He was at training but was not the tall academy player George was referring to nor was he the Academy player that I made reference to that laid the nice tackles.

@dazzledavey36 there was an academy kid who was quite tall and built like and had the same gait as Charlie Curnow (similar hair style too). I don't know if he can play footy but if he can look out. If Deakyn Smith is only 179cm this guy isn't Deakyn Smith.

According to Max these are Melbourne Academy players from the Casey area. I asked if the Dees had first dibs and he said yes. One of the smaller academy laid nice tackles on Jordon and Langdon. Got a few pats on the back for those.

According to the Training Times page on the Official Site it states "Please note the session on Thursday, 19 December has been relocated and will now be a closed session."

Spoke to Max after training and he said today was an easier session and they’re likely to get smashed at the closed session tomorrow.

Nice to meet @dworship today too.

Mitch Brown not out there either. I think someone reported that he copped a knock on Monday.

Viney also wasn’t out there. He’s just arrived with TMac. TMac in boots, Viney in runners. Doing kick to kick on the sides.

Tram route 70 also stops near the ground at AAMI Park (stop 7D). Tram route 48 and 75 are also located in the vicinity near Jolimont Station. Bus 246 (Latrobe Uni - Elsternwick Station) travels down Punt Road, stops at the corner of Olympic Blvd. From here patrons can walk to Gosch's Paddock. Read more about public transport here.
