This does nothing to ease my anxiety as you are just shuffling more players out of position. Help! The sky is literally falling.

@Satyriconhome did you wish Nev a happy birthday?
-
It excites me too unfortunately due to injuries he'll be forced to be played out of position in the ruck. [censored] it's hard to be a Melbourne supporter.

With Preuss out and a cloud over Gawn's readiness will Luke Jackson get a call up for Round 1? The players primed for a Round 1 debut from your club MELBOURNE Luke Jackson couldn’t have been more impressive as the No. 3 pick, playing ruck, midfield and forward in match simulation. But he would have to get past Tom McDonald and Sam Weideman, with Kosi Pickett’s best eye-catching on the track but the young Demon still finding consistency that will result in a VFL start to the season.

Now this is mildly depressing. 11 flags for ex-Dees since 91. The 1991 premiership won by Hawthorn was the last time a premiership team consisted solely of players who had not originally played for another club. Since then 118 flags have won been won by players who had left their original club. Melbourne lead this ladder with 11 flags won by 7 different individuals. They also hold the longest stretch of premiership years having ex players win the flag from 2001 to 2006 in Martin Pike Brisbane 2001-2003, Matthew Bishop Port Adelaide 2004, Darren Jolly Sydney 2005 and Steven Armstrong West Coast 2006. Pike previously won a flag with North Melbourne in 99 whilst Jolly won another flag for Collingwood in 2010. The others are Earl Spalding (Carlton 95), Clay Sampson (Adelaide 97) and James Frawley (Hawthorn 15). Collingwood, West Coast, Adelaide have also had four year stretches along with Sydney who are currently on a four year run with Shane Biggs (Bulldogs 2016), Toby Nankervis (Richmond 17&19) and Lewis Jetta (WCE 18).

Max is either Co-Captain or Vice. Depends whether they are going with the Co-Captain model or going solo. I doubt Viney will be demoted.

Sitting next to the coach here.

That photo was with one of the "civilians" who got to have a photo with the team today. Take him out and Max is sitting next to the coach. Either Co-Captain or Vice. Doubt he is sole captain.

Team photos today. Should we be expecting a Captaincy announcement soon?
-
Thank you but what are their particular ailments?

Anyone know the reasons the following players are in rehab? Jake Melksham Mitch Hannan Oskar Baker I'm trying to compile an updated injury/rehab list.
-
No idea but I believe they're more likely to go slow with Jackson's development. Having said that given that Max is out Jackson might get a call up alongside Preuss. Brown could also play backup ruck which I believe will be his secondary role in the team just like Pedersen was. Brown as relief ruck keeps TMac in the forward line full time.
-
I reckon he is a shoe in to play the Marsh Series. We need to see how he fits into the team and these games are the perfect opportunity in close to match conditions.

Nice touch with Brian Stynes presenting the jumper.
