Would probably prefer them to be playing against us by the sounds of it.

I did say that it would be Tuesday last week on the Podcast but earlier in this thread I mentioned that we realised that we had tickets to see comedian Michael McIntyre on Tuesday so the Podcast had to be moved to Wednesday. We bought the tickets months ago well before the footy season and being a Tuesday night it didn't register that I would be doing the podcast on a Tuesday after KB.- NON-MFC: Rd 13 2023

It's very difficult to gauge. You can see how many times the file is accessed but it's not a proper indication of how many listeners because the file might be automatically downloaded by the podcasting app but not listened to or someone might listen for the whole 1hr and 45mins (or over 2 hours possibly 3 tonight) or they might listen to 1 minute. We also have the live listeners and that can range between 30 to 100 on a particular night (usually somewhere in between) and people can be coming and going and who knows if they then download and listen to the show later. A good indication that listenership is growing is that we're getting more questions (and voicemails - 4 tonight) and engagement on social media. And 5 Star Reviews on Apple Podcast. So please leave us a 5 Star Review and a comment there. We love the feedback and it helps more listeners find the show.- PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I love all the questions we get from the listeners but I'm cutting it off here for this week. My notes for this week are almost double what they usually are. We have a lot to get through and we're not even doing a Casey, Training, Changes (with the exception of Tommo/Smith/Petty talk) or Cats Preview. It will be a long show tonight so strap yourselves in. @binman will be doing a lap of honour to kick off the show apparently. 😜 Have a think about what questions you want answered or comments you want for our Mid Season Review podcast next week which will include Changes and Cats Preview. I'll probably post a thread tomorrow about it once I've spoken to the guys about the format.- PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

Hey AF we're not previewing the Geelong game this week. We'll do it next week. We're going to talk minor team changes in so far as it relates to Tomo and Smith with Petty's return considering it somewhat relates to their performances in the Pies game. Please bring this up in next weeks thread as I'll likely forget.- THE LAST TIME THEY HAD A BYE (MIDSEASON)
Melbourne went into the bye in a bit of a quandary having lost their third game in a row after its long winning run that straddled both sides of its drought-breaking premiership had come to an end. The Demons were second on the ladder having lost top spot to Brisbane who also had a 10-3 record along with Fremantle. They faced a match up against the Lions without skipper Max Gawn (ankle) and with key forward Tom McDonald looking at three months on the sidelines. Steven May was coming off a stint with injury and another week off after the application of a week’s club discipline suspension and his protagonist in that matter, Jake Melksham had missed the Queens Birthday clash with an injured hand. Some potentially damaging stories about events involving club personnel from 18 months beforehand were being circulated in the press and naysayers were predicting tough times ahead. Despite the negativity surrounding the club at the time, the Demons were able to regroup to win their next two games and regained top spot. Despite some ups and downs in the run home they finished the home and away season in second place before the combined weight of a number of niggling injuries saw them out of the finals in straight sets. This year, we’re a game behind the 2022 mark but are coming off a couple of tough but successful battles. Where do you feel we stand looking at the future from here?- PODCAST: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

You can’t get votes for running laps of the G after the punters have all gone home. That means Tracc increased his lead over Clarrie but it’s still a contest with plenty of games to go after the bye. 148. Christian Petracca 127. Clayton Oliver 68. Jack Viney 53. Max Gawn 43.
