  1. SON OF A GUN The high flyer was on the cusp of becoming a regular when a shoulder injury cut him down late in the season. The selectors had enough faith to give him a game in the Preliminary Final and he was among the better players on that day. 2. DECLAN GETTING CLOSER Rookie Declan Keilty has been close to selection at Melbourne on a couple of occasions in the past two years but despite some solid displays in defence this year narrowly missed out on one of the more hotly contested key defensive positions, particularly after Jake Lever's injury. He will be back next year as a third year rookie and is likely to get his opportunity in the pre season games. 3. FAREWELL FLIPPER The young development ruckman from the Sandringham Dragons had two years at the club, both of which were interrupted by injuries. Unfortunately, he didn't do enough in his time at the club to be awarded a senior gurnesey and has now been delisted. 4. With tonight’s 2018 Keith “Bluey” Truscott Medal Presentation, we will be marking the end of the football season - one of our club’s best in many years. And this is the perfect time for us to once again thank all those who have contributed to Demonland during the past season as well as all those who post here or simply visit and read without posting. We value your contributions and ongoing support - especially to Nasher who keeps us going on the technical side, to our moderators whose task is often thankless - a task that is never easy. Special thanks to our regular contributors, Whispering Jack, George on The Outer, The Oracle, JVM, KC from Casey, Grapeviney and Supermercado (my podcast co-presenters) and all others who have provided us with material and articles. Let's hope that 2019 will finally be the year that we break through and experience a Grand Final and Premiership flag. We also look forward to the another year of women's competition and hope a finals appearance there will be a prelude for later in the year. As always, we are on the look out for new contributors who have something to say about the mighty Demons. If you have the talent or simply want something to say about the club in article form, please contact me via PM. Cheers, thanks again and keep your eye on the red and the blue. Goodbye 2018. It was a fun ride. Bring on 2019.
  5. Only reason I'm happy the Eagles won. If Collingwood won we'd be hearing all about it from every bandwagon. The Eagles can celebrate as loud as they want in Perth.
  6. The one with the bigger bank account.
  7. The tears of Collingwood fans will only make us stronger.
  8. Moot point but would he have missed the Granny?
  9. You'd have thought we failed to make the 8 or something with all the players wanting out. Or is it a case of Demon players being highly sort after commodities?
  10. The content at the bottom of the mobile is the same content on the far right hand side of the page on the desktop. I have not experienced the same issues you are describing. Who is your mobile provider?
  11. Bayley Fritsch will be requesting the Dees in the Grand Final sprint.

  14. Not sure how in depth we'll go about the game. Lots of other things to talk about with Brownlow, trade & delistings and upcoming BnF.
  15. I'm going to try and see if I can take calls so the phone lines will be open tonight. Call: 03 9016 3666 Skype: Demonland31 Listen & Chat: http://demonland.com/podcast
  16. Rest assured if we had made the Grand Final I would be in Melbourne to accept your call. I'm looking into whether I can have two instances of Skype open on a single laptop so I can have grapeviney on one account and accept calls on another. At home I have a separate computer for the different accounts.
