When was the last time that Melbourne was scoreless in an first QTR

(Like, no goals or Behinds were kicked)

like, i like cant remember!

try afl tables. not a bad stats website.

I can't recall exactly. There was an extremely costly loss towards the end of 2004 agains Sydney at the Dome. I don't think we had a whole lot o the board at 1/4 time that night from memory.

1991 - round 1 v West Coast

We were 0.0 at quarter time, 0.1 at half time, and finished the game with 2 goals. West Coast won by 79 points.

The following week we kicked 27.18 against Fitzroy and won by 131 points. A lazy 210 point turnaround!

good stats arem. where did you get those? wonder if that is the biggest week to week score difference between two games by the same side?

  • PREVIEW: Brisbane

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.
