Just a question slightly off topic

Can anyone tell me what happens with the Collingwood or Geelong VFL sides, play a non-alligned sided like Frankston or Port Melbourne. Does the 12-10 rule still apply? If so, what do the excess AFL listed players do?

The 12/10 rule only applies to non-aligned clubs. When Sandy play aligned clubs, they can play anybody on the Melbourne or Sandy list. Any excess Melbourne plaers play in Sandy seconds. With Geelong and Collingwood the rules are the same; they each have a large group of VFL players that bulk out their firsts and seconds.

Geelong and Collingwood are always allowed to play all their listed players. I believe they're exempt from the 12/10 rule.
