Steven Icke a possible Melbournefc CEO replacement

Icke highly sought after

This is starting to resemble romper-room musical chairs, but I particularly like the bit where Gardner says he has been blown away by the Quality of applicants interested in the CEO position. This is very encouraging! <_<

maybe miss helena has thrown her hat in the ring

She'd have good people management skills, and perform well in front of the camera, and if things get tough this year she’d be great for team morale….good match - let's get her!

I don't think I've ever admired a player more for sheer guts and endeavour than I did Steven Icke when he played for Melbourne.

Of course it doesn't necessarily flow that he'd have good man management skills as a CEO, but in view of his experience in the West and at Carltank, I'd love to see him return to our Club.

There's got to be a fantastic piece of potential irony should we nab Icke !!..wonder how carlton would take to the 'game' played agaisnt them !! lol. Could be the 'draft' of the year !! hehehe

Others to consider of course :)

it is amazing how many people are close friends with Chris Conolly...Peter Schwab, Icke, Gary Lyon, Kelly O'Donell...he must be a great guy...im almost as happy as CC bieng football manager as DB bieng head coach

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
