Latest Report from Melbournefc site gives some info to Tom's football history

http://melbournefc.com.au/Season2007/News/...px?newsId=54143

Seems like a pretty level-headed young bloke. He comes to Melbourne with pretty good credentials for a pick 66.

- representative of SA at under 16s

- has played SANFL

- was part of the AIS/AFL academy

You never know Tommy. A spot in the red and blue may beckon sooner than you think if you apply yourself well.

Best of luck champ.

Give young Tom three years and he may become CAC's ghost come to haunt him at Richmond. Let's hope so.

Good luck Tom and welcome to the first football club in Australia.

Will he be known as TMac in 5-6 years from now ?

If so ,as I just came up with it each time it is mentioned here I should receive royalties. 5 bucks per use should be sufficient. I will then pass the money onto the MFC as a donation. Or not. I like money. Alot.

wouldn't be the most original nickname, i know people who go by TMac...

i like the sound of this kid though, liked the video i saw of him on the AFL website, do agree he could be a real steal... him and rivers holding the backline together...

that will be 5 dollars thanks vanlo.....this was a top idea.

i said i like money, not that i have any.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
