You know I love Dunn, Petterd and even Newton comes into this catergory.

But they are no certainty in a new coaching panels eyes to be in the starting 22 come round 1 2008.

I actually think Miller has a stronger chance of lining up round 1 than the other guys do. Even though Petterd cleary deserves to play. I would also have Newton and Dunn in my best 22. Whether or not the coaching panel agree is different so it really is up for personal debate.

Wheatley gets a cermented spot ahead of Dunn, Pettard and Newton? Moloney in the team cermented however still has OP as far as everyone is aware. Cotchin haha i keep reading that and laughing.haha cotchin

Whelan is the key to our back line, with so many good/dangerous small forwards around. Frawley hopefully comes on a bit. Wheatley is important. Miller is a liability any where you play him, Sylvia has to lift, Bate is our best hf option, Mclean better start worrying about getting a kick. Pettard, Dunn, Newton all have some way to go. In saying that i am excited. My Team.

Whelan Carrol Frawley

Whateley Rivers Bell

Green Maloney Bruce

Robbo Bate Sylvia

Davey Neita Newton

White, Mclean Jnr

Jones, Dunn, Jamar, Bartram

Some interesting ideas here. I think later in the 2008 season we are going to see Dunn on field a lot more. An ideal candidate for a Bailey refit.

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
