My revised top 14. I did have us taking Palmer at pick 4, but the 199cm McEvoys stocks are rising. Lets face it, we have very little depth or talent as far as key positon players go. With pick 14 , we will snap us Selwood if he is still there and that is a good chance.

1. Carlton - Matthew Kreuzer

2. Richmond - Trent Cotchin

3. West Coast - Cale Morton

4. Melbourne - Ben McEvoy

5. Western Bulldogs - Lachie Hendersen

6. Essendon - Rhys Palmer

7. Fremantle - Chris Masten

8. Brisbane - Brad Ebert

9. St.Kilda - Alex Rance

10. Adelaide - Cyril Rioli

11. Sydney - Tom Collier

12. Hawthorn- Tom Bellchambers

13. West Coast - David Myers

14. Melbourne - Scott Selwood

Just wondering if anyone knows aything about this kid.

Trent Zomer-194cm, 94kg-Eastern Rangers. (Fwd) Spends a bit of time rucking but will never be an AFL ruckman. It has been up forward he has sown his best form in recent times. Very good sized body. Leads up well and has strong hands. He is a good shot at goal.

Pick 50 plus.

I haven't seen him play and he is expected to go late, but he sounded alright from this write up. Could be a reasonable pick up with our fourth round pick (53?).

Just wondering if anyone had an opinion of him or any other possible late round draftees.

Geez his writeup sounds like someone I know, first name Brad wears the number 7

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
