You'd be even more stoked if we got pick 11 and Jolly for Johnstone and Miller, no?

I get the serious impression you'd rather have a slot on the list ready for pick 94 than keep Miller.

Let's say I disagree but definately sympathise.

Absolutely

I would prefer a late draft pick than Miller

Im confident now Ive done the maths, done some research on the shear volume of rumours.

Research on the volume of rumours???

How do you do research on the volume of rumours?

You can't be serious can you:rolleyes: ?

Yeah mate I sat down with a spreadsheet and nutted out a few pie graphs utilising various formulatic structures... I meant that the volume of rumours going around on various websites has helped convinced me that melbourne seem to be the only club being talked about. Thats it - nothing as profound as a thesis or anything...

Why is Carlton out of the mix? I still think they are his preferred club. Channel 7 is pushing Melbourne, Channel 9 is pushing Collingwood don’t be surprised if he announces Carlton.

Would they have annouced Sumich as assistant coach there today if Sumich was part of the package for him to go to Carlton??

Carlton have blown their chances. Dick Pratt's public comments about not hesitating to make Judd captain and the rest of his diatribe was absolutely atrocious. The fact that Carlton will not be successful for a few more years, the fact that Judd will want to be playing at the MCG ... it all adds up. Don't waste your breath. Two clubs remain and it isn't Carlton.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
