BROWNLOW MEDAL

Garry Ablett Jnr (the favorite) has a strong chance & has probably had one of the best seasons by an individual player in a long time. However, will his votes be taken from him from his own team mates?

Brent Harvey & Daniel Kerr have also had extremely good solid seasons.

Who does everyone else think will when it this year?

My money's on Jonathon Brown. Too many big 3 vote games.

Garry Ablett Jnr or Brent Harvey for me. Jono Brown will finish top 5 and so will Bartel

I'll say Kerr will win but not win due to suspension (he was suspended right?)

Then it will fall on Brent Harvey or Gary Ablett.

Yep Kerr was suspended, also has missed 4 or so games as well.

Thought so, however I reckon he will poll in nearly every game he played.

Cant stand Harvey or Ablett

I am praying that Jonathan Brown gets up, he is my fave player in the entire comp and an absolute marvel

Leading Demon votegetter should be a real snoozefest

I Can't stand Harvey or Ablett either but I think they will top 2 candidates to win it :(

I want Jonathan Brown to win as well but Brisbane haven't won enough games for Brown to snag '3 votes' but best wishes to him and hopefully he can win it!

Booma Harvey will be hard to beat....

One of our own Scott Thompson has had a stellar season for the Crows and should be leading vote getter for Adelaide.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
