Good Work 45, was thinking the exact same thing the EPL needs a thread!

I would assume that your a Spurs fan? Suprised by your start but injuries to your backs didnt help, youll have a strong year i think.

Being a Liverpool fan ive been encouraged by the start thus far our weakness in the past.

By all reports we were robbed by a shockin penalty decision against chelski, will have to watch the highlights tonight.

Man City are looking good, and no matter what Sven did with England, hes a proven club manager with some cash.

Chelsea will rebound, they were light on for defenders last season which cost them dearly. Though they will lose Drogba and Essien etc to the africans cup so that may hurt them.

But overall itll be closer than last season (with any luck)...

What do you think?

Yes - thank god Spurs got up... Two losses at home didn't get the confidence soaring...

Injuries in the backhalf remind me horribly of the MFC. When we get them all back we should be looking fairly decent

How about Rooney breaking his foot in the first game like Brock McLean did. Then Ronaldo sent off and missing for three games. Saha and Solskjaer already injured. No firepower whatsoever, just like the Dees without Neitz, Robbo, etc.

2007 has not been a good year for my teams!

I like the Spurs, they've got a good squad and they really should push for 4th this year.

torres is a nutter, i reckon he'll have a big year for the reds.

unless chelsea pull that 'we only win in the last 3 minute' rubbish they did all last year, i can't see them getting close to man u. however i do think teams like arsenal, liverpool and even tottenham, along with possibly man city, coupled with man u's injury woes, it should be a cracker of a season

Dude, at full strength Chelsea > Man U.

Chelsea haven't even got their full side out there and they're still winning with ease.

Come on you Spurs! A great win the other night to calm our anxietys about the poor start to the year. We still have so so many injuries, but hopefully can steady from here.

Are all you Spurs fans on here members of Ozspurs, the Australian Spurs Supporters group? www.ozspurs.com

I think Man Utd have a better team than Chelsea, emphasis on the word team, as Chelsea may have better players they're all just money-chasing individuals happy to take the dodgy oil-barons money till it runs out..then they'll all jump ship (Arjen Robben this morning looks like he's on his way to Real Madrid)..

Having said that United have made it hard for themselves if they wanna win this years title.

Chelsea this year - 2 wins and a draw

Scum U - 2 draws and a loss

And before you say Man U have injuries so do Chelsea.

doesn't sound like you've watched the chelsea matches though, for the large part they've played arrogant rubbish football, and found themselves behind to birmingham and reading, plus a draw with liverpool that even the ref has apologized for.

chelsea could very easily have 2 draws and a loss also. if you're saying chelsea are better because of three games, you're head is in the clouds.

far out did we need that win before our big test against man u, will be interesting to watch.

It doesn't matter how Chelsea won, they still have the wins on the board.

On paper and at their best Chelsea are the better team.

They will win the Premiership, with the Hammers coming a close 2nd ;) .

i don't see how on paper chelsea are a better team, especially with robben going now. i reckon liverpool will be an interesting team to watch, they don't seem to be getting a lot of recognition, but i reckon they could be right up there

Why oh why are Spurs continually shooting themselves in the foot when in likely match-winning situations? That 3-3 result was a disaster, you could've heard a pin drop amongst all the supporters in the pub when the equaliser went in.

The big plus though is Gareth Bale, this kid can seriously play!

Oh, and Chelsea conceding two against of all teams Villa has to be the season highlight so far!

massive night tonight in the context of spurs' credentials. surely we have to win if we are to consider ourselves top 4 material, we cannot continue to lose against the 'big four' time and again, especially at the lane.

come on you spurs!

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
