they are (quite properly) prioritising the aflw which takes up a lot of funds.

The mission statement of the vfl (although never published) is to provide a fitness and development environment for unselected AFL listed players.

I doubt that the concept of a competition or attracting members of the public to the games even rates a mention.

Years ago I wondered why they didn't do more to attract supporters and it hit me that if you get above a certain number say 2000 attending you need more toilets more groundstaff etc.

it's a great day at a suburban ground with a chair on the grass and seeing the players in an informal environment. Not to mention the multiple kick to kick sessions at the quarter time breaks

Diamond Jim totally agree , I could not believe how good a setup Footscray people have and deserve it was a ripper .Walking away I have no doubt that us Dees have missed out big time ,I hope for our future generations of supporters we get something like that .
