Quick question for people in Brisbane

Featured Replies

I'm going to be in Brisbane on the day of the Demons vs. Carlton game at the MCG. Would anyone know of a bar in the city that might be showing the match?

If not, where would be the best internet cafe to get live scores from?

Cheers.

I dont live in Brisbane, but i know that you will have bugger chance during the day to see the game, unless you stay up until 12:00 midnight. Here in Sydney and in Brisbane always get screwed with broadcasts.

Probably your best chance to hear the game maybe via the AFL website and listening to a live stream if the game is broadcast

Hope that helps

Yeah, I had a feeling that the game wouldn't be on.

I'll make sure that I stay awake for the reply then.

Thanks for the reply :)

PM Demondeb - a Brisvegas local. She should be able to tell you where the game is on. Failing that, the banana benders are fond of the Pineapple Hotel for games. I have no idea where it is.

I just double checked, and it says that the Sydney vs. Freo game is on channel 7. Oh well.

The Pineapple will have it on, they have 2 floors .... about 10 sccreens per floor.

Its about a 5 min walk to the Gabba

Yes Pineapple would be your best bet I think. I dont know of other places in brissie cos I actually reside on the Gold Coast and one of my rare travels north is for the game.

Shame you wont be here next week, thats when we really show our colours.

See you all at the pineapple next Sat night.

I got a few questions too-

When does the dees train at the GABBA this week? And if they are can anyone go and watch them?

Also regarding sat night festivities- Pinapple hotel again? Any news on if any players/coach are coming after the game?

And thats about it, getting excited now :)

Anyone????

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
