PAY SO HE CAN PLAY

Featured Replies

I have tallied it up.

Due to Newton being selected, and kicking one goal - the Pay So He Can Play initiative has raised the Demonology/Demonland Syndicate $1,575.

That is if everyone pays up.

Thanks to everyone who has been willing to donate to the cause.

[email protected] for the form with the info about where and who to send to the money to.

I received an email from the club today to inform me that, even before all the money from the Newton Fund gets sent in, Demonology/Demonland have so far accumulated $8,076 towards to 150 Club fund - so the Newton Fun should push this up towards $9,500 or so, which is very exciting.

This will mean we need to raise around $3,000 more in order to become full 150 Club members.

Do i dare say $2 a goal between now and round 22, im up for it. Or something similar?

Open to ideas.

Anything like that would be fantastic - ideas are good. A good idea and we'll start promoting on both the sites.

Congrats and thanks Mick......

That is a truly wonderful effort, we should be proud ;):) !!!

Just answered my own question - hence the edit - thanks and sorry!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
