Agreed. Shattering after such a good start to the game. It will be very interesting to see how the team looks in 4 years time. Likely no Mills, Delly or Ingles anymore by LA 28.

Yeah, we'll need the new breed coming through.  But Basketball is starting to thrive in Australia so hopefully we can produce some more Josh Giddey types

Mills was fantastic early but the Serbs curtailed him very well after half time

Hard to penetrative that defence though.  Again, Serbia just that little bit too good when it counted

Really enjoyable game, all the same.  The crowd was thoroughly entertained

Arissa Trew wins gold for Australia in the skateboarding. I think this makes her our youngest medal winner ever, an amazing achievement! Don't know if I'm completely on board with it being an Olympic sport, but an amazing effort all the same!

Bronze for Australia at the Velodrom in the mens team sprint. Great effort for them and Monkey off the back, given they'd been 4th at the last 5 Olympics.

Mariafe/Clancy win their way their way through to the Beach Volleyball semi finals with an impressive 21-19, 16-21, 15-12 win over the previously undefeated Swiss. Great effort from the girls as they've now progressed to the medal rounds at consecutive Olympics, previously only done by Cook & Pottarst for Australia.

What a performance!!  How good!!!  Alise was unbelievable under extreme pressure

Our youngest winner since Sandra Morgan (14) in the 1956 Olympics (Swimming relay)

And I believe Thorpie was only 14 when he Won at World Championship level

And I embrace all these new sports in the Olympics.  Opens up the Olympics to a number of new sports

And if we're going to have professional sports such as Tennis, Golf, Football & Basketball in the Olympics, why not those sports with a lower profile that can appeal to a different audience?

Anyway, Kudos to Alise Trew!

Well done to both teams

That makes 4 teams through to the Semi Finals (adding in the 2 Rugby 7 teams)

With the Opals & Sharks to hopefully win their QF's

Opals return to the Medal rounds for the first time since London 2012 with a comprehensive 85-67 win over Serbia.

They need to look after the ball a bit more and need to rebound a bit better, but it's been good to see them improve every match so far these games.

Very tough break for Matt Wearn. He was all but set to secure that Gold, and now has to start that final race all over again.

4 Gold medals in a day tops the 3 Gold in one day we won a few days ago.  Amazing!!  Kudos to last night's winners!

We're now playing with house money and remaining 3rd overall is now quite possible. France & Great Britain keeping winning Silver & Bronze only and Japan are a fair way back but are known to do well in the combative sports (Judo, Taekwondo, Wrestling)

So there are a lot of medal on offer and to remain 3rd, we'll probably need to win 2 or 3 more Gold.  Canoe Sprint, Boxing, Cycling, any of our 3 teams remaining are our best chances.  Maybe Track & Field?

The entire team must be feeling inspired right now so that's a real factor as well

DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
