Gday lads, love the pod.
Andy I hope you’ve enjoyed your time in New York. Geez what a strange time to be over there with all the political happenings.

So anyway ,  firstly id just like to acknowledge that I see everything through a red and blue lens and for the most part my thinking is completely irrational,  as I typically spend my time unpacking all the different ways that the AFL  competition is one big conspiracy against Melbourne. Our supporters are mocked for their so called privileged economic positioning, and yes that may well be justified for some, but as a club, to the AFL we are treated like peasants. We have had to watch as competition warlords like Collingwood, ruin the careers of two of our best players in Brayshaw and Petracca. And we just have to suck it up. Something I just can’t accept is the way the AFL made the knee jerk reaction to change the rules for bidding on NGA players due to the Bulldogs picking up Jamarra Ugle Hagen for nothing. This rule change meant that Melbourne missed out on our NGA prospect Mac Andrew. We gritted our teeth and accepted this as typical bad luck for the Dees, but now hearing that the AFL are changing it back after 2 years….are they bloody serious??? I guarantee the AFL will find a way to prevent us from getting Kelani White next year….oh wait he’s part of the gold coast academy, so he will be one of the 6 top end players that the Suns are able to hand pick each year.
Thank you,

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
