he is leading our friggen goal kicking!!!

one bad game and your all quick to drop him

against the bullies is a good chance for a physical player like miller to crash some packs and hurt some bodies, his pace and endurance are also a plus against them

7 goals from 6 games is not exactly a great achievement, if the coaching staff didn't have enough faith to put him on the ground then how can they justify his selection this week. He was barely on the field in the 2nd half and when he was not effective at all. Ryan Hargraves will have no problem keeping up with Miller. His only advantage would be his strength and he will probably not be getting into too many one on one contests.

Newton will get limited opportunities once Robbo is back so give him a go, maybe this could give Miller the same motivation it gave Yze knowing that he has to play for his spot.

Who will take Daniel Cross, gets a lot of the ball and can do damage? assuming macca goes to west and godfrey on cooney

maybe im just disillusioned, but what's the point in getting our full list together now that we can't win the flag this year...

may as well just play as many kids as possible imo

get in newton, buckley, pettard, cj, frawley, bell, pj,, nathan jones, sylvia, dunn and play them every match for the rest of the year.

if we lose the next couple and it becomes official that we arent making the finals i would like to never see bizzel, ward, and holland never to play again. if the season looks bottom 4 then decisions should be made on guyz like wheatley, ferguson, nathan brown and jamar. if the coaching staff believe they are not going to be contributers next year, then they too should spend the rest of the year in the vfl.

(of that group, only nathan brown i feel sympathy for, because he might be the victim of a season in the bottom 4 in which youth is prioritized. he tries his gutz out every week and bleeds red and blue)

no we should play the kids that deserve to play and play as many senoirs that deserve to play so they get a winning mindset and can have the senoir players to guide them, id rather finish higher up the ladder and go on a decent winning streak than languish at the bottom of the table and let the kids get flogged every week

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
