I saw Colin Sylvia Last week

I was at the Sandringham game last week.

And at the three quater time huddle I saw colin in a bit of discomfort he was on the ground and one of the runners was giving him a rub down on the back of the thighs with some cream .

So it does not surprise me that ND didnot play him this week .

We are having a horror run of injuries but look at the doggies last year they kept winning games .

So why cant we ,please give me some hope you guys .

While they had injuries to Darcy, Minson and Murphy the Bulldogs had a solid core of Johnson, Cooney, West , Griffen etc who played every game.

How would they have gone without those players?

I think MFC's injury worries at the moment are worse than the Bulldogs.

Good point about Sylvia. Just because he is injured seems to be no impediment for some ignoramuses to abuse the MFC Footy dept for not picking him.

i think its more frustration and the club never releases a statement saying sylvia is saore and wont play so you have to think he just was not selected

Too many people jumping to inappropriate conclusions without the facts.

Its common around here.

Thats good news, it exseemsto explain a lot to me. We all know Sylv' has had a shortened preseason & has done a lot of hard work in a short space of time on hard grounds, many footballers are having trouble throughtout the AFL with sore legs.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
