From MELBOURNEfc (truncated version):

Cameron Bruce has agreed to a new three year deal with MELBOURNEfc that will see him with the club until the end of 2009.

General Manager Recruiting and List Management, Craig Cameron said, "He has played all his AFL football with Melbourne after starting in the reserves while on the supplementary list. He has developed into a genuine footballer that can play in almost every position on the ground and against all types of opponents."

Bruce said, "It's fantastic to know that I’ll be here for at least another three years. It’s a great club to play for, and the environment in which we work is fantastic. I think we are improving as a list with a good balance of young and experienced players that should mature over the next few years and hopefully lead to some success."

Well I guess thats one less genuine star to put on the table during Judd negotiations.

Very happy to see players signing early though. It makes for a less nerve-wrecking trade week.
