Frankston v Casey Scorpions

Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 2.2.14 lead Frankston 2.1.13

Goals: Magner Matthews

Magner and Rodan getting plenty of it around the ground but otherwise it was a game of defences. Sam Blease put in a few nice runs out of defence and Max Gawn is doing well in the ruck and around the ground.

Any updates on Gawn, Taggert, Blease, Toumpas, Tynan or Barry would be greatly appreciated. (they are really the only future players for the club)

Good work KC!

A long kick from Jake Best rolls through the goals.

I'm a bit excited about this lad. I think he is 23, but his explosive pace is a real asset.

His name does get a bit annoying when it comes to the match report tho.

Is he tall enough for AFL?

I think so. He really backs himself in. I think he'll find his way on to a rookie list.

Casey usually like to fade away in the 3Qrt right?

I think they like close finishes.

Half time: Casey Scorpions lead 5.8.38 to 2.2.14 in a game of defences.

Goals: Magner 2 Best Matthews Rodan

The absence of Jesse Hogan is clear and obvious with nobody on the forward line able to take control with the big grab in the packs.

how is toumpas going?

Fffffffffuuuuuuu######kkkkkk,kk

Thanks as usual for all the updates KC, always appreciated.

Any word on Toumpas, Tynan, and Taggert? They're the 3 guys who i think could break into the senior team next week with a good game this week.

Frankston now 22 points in front after their 7th for the term.

There goes the siren and its Frankston 9.6.60 to Casey 5.8.38.

The Dolphins have all the momentum and the wind isn't strong enough to save the Scorps.

Thanks as usual for all the updates KC, always appreciated.

Those who want to know who's doing well - the answer is nobody. That quarter was as poor a quarter that I've seen at Casey since the alignment began. They have the scoring end but the Dollies have their tails up.

The better players are the unfashionable ones - Rodan and Magner.

Jimmy T and Sammy B are doing OK but most struggled that quarter.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
