The Jarred Moore Thread

Jarred Moore today delisted by the Swans.

Not a great player, but could fill a role like Shannon Byrnes.

I'd happily pick him up in the PSD.

Definetly. I am liking the way we are going about it so far. Use our early picks for good young talent and then

try and stock up on experienced older players with FA and late picks.

Jarred Moore is well and truly cooked. Can't cover the ground. The Swans will not get a single enquiry and they know it.

My source at Sydney says he has a great footy brain but he has lost his pace and can't play the small forward role anymore. He's past it.

At this stage I'd be paying Lonergan from essendon a bit more to come to us in the PSD rather than waste it on a slow 28 year old.

'Wasting a PSD pick'...

Bit of tautology there...

And you wouldn't get him through the PSD.

He is now apart of Delisted FA and can be picked up for absolutely nothing from Nov 1.

wouldn't getting moore as a delisted fa effect the quality of our compo for moloney?

The delisted FA period is separate to the FA period currently underway. It runs in November once the first list lodge meant is done on October 31.

Twenty-six years old and has played 68 games/ kicked 52 goals.

Could be another player to have handy?

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
