Getting nervous pantaloons?

On a positive note Metta's back for the next game isn't he?

Absolutely furious with the team's lack of effort in Game 5, particularly Bynum. That guy has talent galore and has been heavily invested in, and yet he refused to show up for every playoff game. Disgraceful. That said, at the start of the series I picked Lakers in 7, so I'm not surprised it's gone this far. The only way Denver wins Game 7 is if LA is truly a team disunited, but I think we've been down this road many times before and will pull it out. If we're not up by double digits at quarter time tomorrow though, the nerves will start. I'm expecting a furious LA to start the game.

Here we go ! C'mon Lakers . Kobe to have a big one .

Thanks Macca. Phew. A generally poor performance from LA this series, but our reward for being ordinary is to have Artest back for OKC and tuned up in today's Game 7. I doubt we'll get over the top of them, but losing to OKC won't be the historic disgrace that losing today would have been. This will be the first series we enter as underdogs since the 2008 Finals against Boston.

Memphis/Clippers tomorrow. Should be fantastic - two success-starved clubs going at it in a Game 7.

Lakers get through , I reckon you'll take it up to the Thunder .

Nuggets out , but hang on , I'm still here .

Clippers get through as well . Their bench stepped up in game 7 .

So we've got a Clippers/Spurs match-up .

Miami win game 1 vs the Pacers .

Tomorrows games are Sixers @ Boston and the Lakers @ Oklahoma .

Chris Bosh left half way through the game with a abdominal strain (I think?). I believe he has been ruled out of the remainder of the series, not sure when he'll be back.. Not good news for the Heat.

Yeah , just saw the highlights , that type of injury can linger . Certainly brings Indiana right back into it now . They play tomorrow so we'll soon find out how much they'll miss Bosh . So many stars going down , who's next?

The Thunder way too good today . They were well rested I suppose which had to be an advantage . The Sixers surprised Boston in a clffhanger . Spurs/Clippers play in the late game tomorrow .

C'mon Spurs !

Boston strike a bit of form and the Lakers had that game today . What's with the Thunder crowd all wearing those t-shirts in unison ? Strikes me as a bit 'Orwellian' . Every now and then there's one person that doesn't fall into line - good on 'em !

Tomorrow the Clippers are up against the Spurs again - can't see them winning but ya never know . Miami are at the Pacers , if Indiana can win game 3 it will put enormous pressure on the Heat .

Th Heat got smashed today. Wade was diabolical. I'd hate to think what the score would have been like without Chalmers hitting some form. They're under pressure, 2-1 down. Feeling the Heat?

Yeah , they're just unravelling . The door is opening up for Boston though even at this stage , the overall winner could easily be the Western Conference winner as well . Spurs/Oklahoma could be a great series if as expected they both get past the 2nd round .

Boston are at the Sixers in the early game today followed by the Thunder at the Lakers . Kobe and his crew have just got to find a win .

Great win by Philadelphia today after being so far behind . Those Philly fans are tough . They booed the team off at half time . On this occasion it seemed to have the desired effect .

Just settling in to watch the Lakers/Thunder game . Lakers are 7 pts ahead early in the 2nd quarter and looking ok .

Fantastic win for the 76ers today, wow! They were upto 18 behind at times in this game. Certainly lights the spark on this series, will be a fascinating one.

We almost saw another big incident between Metta World "Peace" and Westbrook there, I agree with the commentators a double technical in this situation is a bit of a copout. If this game hadve been in Oklahoma the crowd would be absolutely giving it to MWP right now.

Spurs are nicely placed in their series against Clippers, the balanced offense really does make it hard to match up on, double team Parker and you open up Ginobli and Neale and the like. Even Boris Diaw is having an impact...

D Wades blowup with the coach really didnt look good, in line with his terrible game. On Mike and Mike on ESPN last night they floated the theory that Wade and LeBron are too similar, and that maybe they should try and trade DWade to somehow get Howard. Interesting hypothetical!

Lakers win ! They played quite well , Kobe had 36 including 18/18 from the free throw line ! Clutch . We do it all again tomorrow in a 'back to back' game - 12.30pm oz time . The earlier game is the Spurs at the Clippers - 5.30am oz time . Same arena for both games .

Who thought of that marvellous bit of scheduling ? Whooda thunkit ! Who knew !

Yep, great game by Kobe. And the Lakers hit 41 of 42 free throws. Amazing conversion.

Igoudala cam up big for the 76ers. A couple of great games today.

Spurs were a long way back early but came back to beat the Clippers to go 3 up . Griffen with 28 threatened but the Spurs all around strength was too good .

The Lakers lost another game they could easily have won today . Kobe had another good game but Westbrook with 37pts was a huge factor .

Miami are at the Pacers in the early game tomorrow (5.30am) and in another 'back to back' , the Spurs are at the Clippers in the late game (12.30pm)

The Lakers really let one slip I think. The Thunder had something like a 12-0 run late in the 4th for a great come from behind win. Back to OKC for the 5th game is only going to make it harder for the Lakers. C'mon Kobe you can do it!

Great win by the Heat. Lebron just 1 assist short of a triple double. Scored 40 points and 18 or 19 rebounds. And his partner in crime Wade finally came to the party. I think he was only 1 for 8 in the first half but was a different man in the 2nd half and ended up with 30 odd points. Series is levelled. Interesting times ahead.

You cannot lose games in the playoffs when you are the better team on the day, and the Lakers have done this twice this series, as we did against Dallas last year. Aargh!!!!!!!! Season ends tomorrow, that much is absolutely guaranteed.

Yep , it's gunna be tough for your blokes in their house tomorrow . Though ya never know , if a few of the other Laker players step up to help out Kobe , ya can win . It's the late game tomorrow btw , following the early game between the Sixers at Boston (2-2)

Spurs are through ! JJ will be happy ! I'm riding a few teams to wins lately , what with the Hammers winning to get back into the EPL and even the Coyotes getting one game back on LA in the Hockey .

Haha, hedging your bets, I like it. Someone has to come good for you Macca.

Go Spurs.

Go Patty (Give him some game time goddamnit!)

Edit: Magic have parted ways with their coach SVG & GM Otis. A shake up at Orlando.

Kobe is trying his best to drag the Lakers to a win, but the entire suporting cast needs to lift. Quarter time Lakers 21 points, Kobe 6 for 9 and 15 points, the rest of the team 2 for 12 and 6 points.

The guy can't do it alone, the rest of the team needs to lift.

Oh Metta, whe will you learn. Lakers responded in the 2nd. They were leading 51-50 into the last 30 seconds when this happened.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhM8Hqc1Y74&feature=player_embedded

Nice block, but the push was unnecessary. Maybe a bit harsh but earned him a flagrant, MWP & Kobe not happy with the call, both got technicals. End result OKC drops 4 free throws and heads into the main break up 54-51.

Sorry pantaloons, I was rooting for them, I hope that wasn't the problem.

The stats seemed relatively close save for the offensive rebounds. Something like 3 -14 OKC's way. The big boys just weren't doing their job today.

Thanks mate!

Look I'll say a few things:

1. While the Thunder are certainly the better team, and I predicted us to go down 4-1, we were the better team in 3 of the 5 games, so at least we didn't disgrace ourselves.

2. That flagrant against Artest was a disgrace. Purely based on reputation - no way Durant gets that treatment.

3. Really hope the Spurs win it all now. Pacers or Sixers would be fine but unrealistic.

4. Bring on the offseason and some bg decisions for LA.

5. Disappointed it ended today. I leave for a week in LA on Tuesday so was dead keen to get to the WCF if we were still alive!

Pacers at the Heat tomorrow 11am ESPN . The vital game 5 when the series is tied .

Pacers got smashed. But as the SVG saying goes "It's only worth one win".

There was a few flagrants being thrown around. You'd think some would be worthy of a suspension.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
