Has anyone watched the short clip on the melbournefc website titled 'Flying Boomerangs War Dance?'

For those who haven't, it features a large groups of indigenous blokes, including some (couldn't see Jurrah) of Melbourne's indigenous players. It is a forty second dance that is in many ways similar to the NZ Haka.

Do you reckon the Dees, led by vice captain Davey, or Green for that matter, could line up against the opposition and perform the dance before the bounce? Might be problemmatic considering that players don't start on opposite sides of the centre line...

I love the Haka - the FB war dance isn't quite as stirring - but it could become something unique to MFC.

If anyone has ever seen a motivational speaker (I had to endure many hours as a teacher on school camps), they will talk about 'anchoring' - this is a physical gesture that, when performed, anchors a peak emotional state. The Haka is a classic anchor - the war dance could become ours.
