I wonder if we move to having a standalone VFL team next year whether he may well play a substantial amount of games as a top up?

Something to ponder. Question is, will we have a stand alone VFL team (as early as next year) ?

    If as reported that the MFC and Casey Scorpions have had a fragmented relationship for a while it would be hard to say that the admin team have not been drawing up an alternative model to convert to if the time came to sever ties with the Scorpions...

    They wont abandon the VFL team without a solid plan to change to which will take a significant amount of time.

    I think that we will know by the end of the year if this is to occur, however I doubt that it will be next season by quite possible the one after if the relationships are not mended at Casey in the near future

    The Scorps have money problems and if it wasn't for MFC's financial contribution they could go down the gurgler. Makes a perfect scene for a MFC takeover which means we would be a stand alone club with little extra expense.
