Kicked 9 for his school in the Cordoner Eggleston match on Friday, solidly built, one of the NT's best players. Powerhouse forward. Could be the next biggest thing. WIll go top 20 and i'm sure we are looking at him seeing as we'll a mid range top 20 pick and that Bailey has identified another forward on the wish list.

Josh Fraser is out of favour at Collingwood, and he'd be worth a look. Move Jamar to full forward, and have Fraser and PJ share the rucking duties

Hackermantis is on the loose as we speak. He may be cheap, cheap.

One point about Jack Darling that seems to have been missed is that he's played the majority of his junior football as a midfielder. Don't know about anybody here but I think that if other clubs are dumb enough to let a midfielder who is more than handy as a key position forward fall to us , than they're had better be a bloody good player that we take instead!! Don't forget that at 17, he's 189cm, 93kg and i'd imagine he probably still has a little bit more growth in him too!! We'd be crazy to discount him due to a percieved lack of height especially if he so many other thinngs going for him such as competitivness, awareness, ball winning ability goal scoring ability, ability to apply defensive pressure mental attitude and footy smarts!! I'd also be interested to see how impressive his vertical leap and beep test is- so looking forward to his draft camp performance if he looks the goods and he's available, then i'd definately want BP to consider drafting him!! Go Dees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

from the AFL 2010 Prospectus

Jack Darling – 190cm, 86kg – General Forward – West Perth Darling is a tall forward with terrific speed and is strong overhead highlighted by his average of more than two contested marks per game in 19 matches Champion Data has covered. IN 2008 he averaged 18 disposals, 8 marks and seven inside 50’s for Western Australia at the 2008 NAB AFL Under-16 Championships. These figures included an outstanding performance against South Australia in which he had 19 disposals at an efficiency of 88%, nine marks including seven contested, eight tackles, seven inside 50’s, 4 goals and 4 goal assists to accumulate a whopping 308 Champion Data points – the most ever recorded in any game. At the 2009 NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, although undersized, he played centre half forward and averaged 13 disposals and five marks, while kicking 14 goals and assisting in another 15 scoring shots. He was subsequently selected at centre half forward in the under-18 All-Australian team. At just 17 years of age Darling made his debut at WAFL League level in Round 17, playing 6 matches at an average of 10 disposals, three marks and 2 goals per game.

I liked his hard at it aggression. We'll need some of that in our skillfull forward set.

I don't think we'll get it from Killa Watts or Bugsy Morton, nor even from Jurrah or Benny. :)
