Demonland Player of the Year

Must say that I can't remember a game where there's been so much variation of opinion about the best players in both the media and on this thread. Jetta, for one, has a lot of BOGs here but others haven't put him in the top 6. Various media outlets have given their BOGs to Frawley, to Junior, to Miller, to Davey & to Jetta, and in many cases these guys don't figure in the top 6 elsewhere. This can only be a good thing.

Akum I think it sums up how even it was from the players across the board, where most of us could have listed 10 names with no apparent "stand out" player. It really depends on what elements each person considers having an influence on the game. For me Jetta was BOG being our leading tackler for the game (out tackling McDonald), having a quarter of our entire team assists, leading the inside 50 count and running second to Trengove for contested possessions.

6. Jetta

5. Jamar

4. Bennell

3. Trengove

2. Green

1. Miller

Miller's good was good, just happened to be in the right place at the right time. But his bad was bad. Review the last quarter and check out the eight contested marking opportunities he had. He was deplorable. That's why he can no longer hold his place ( I know he will get 3 or 4 more games ). He's a lovely guy but just a VFL footballer
