NSW scholarship player Ted Strudwick

Featured Replies

Ted, has been our scholorship player whom played in the NSW team this year. I saw him play against SA at Optus Oval and thought he went well, BASICALLY OF A HALF BACK FLANK.In his follow up match-his last against Tasmania he did not show allot. It is my opinion,Strudwick, whom is 183 cms tall is not the right fit for our team. However, we must have thought he may make it as he has been on a scholorship for 3 years now. I have met Teddy, a fine young man, but we need the best list we can get- even rookie players. We do not have a scholorship player currently.

I know someone who plays with him at local level. He was shocked when Ted was given a scholarship. Not even the most promising player in the team. I doubt anything will come of Ted.

I've wondered for a while what happens with Melbourne's scholarship players. Never hear of them. Shame, oh well.

agree totally with you- and been on a scholorship for 3 years now. I got a shock.

I remember reading something a while back re scholorship players. It costs money to nominate them, something we don't have an abundance of. Pretty sure Teddy is our only scholorship player and we would have kept him on until now to see if we could reap any reward on our investment.

To be honest, we only really hear about the success stories and they usually end up at the clubs that have several scholorship players (ie those with money).
