1964, I can still conjure up some graphic images. I was behind the top fence in Bay 13 standing room and watched Gabba run, fumble and get the goal that put them in front.

The rest was a blur as something happened suddenly and unexpectedly down the other end from a contested ball. I had no idea at that moment that it was Froggy.

I didn't see it clearly but boy, one torn up telephone directory went sky-high when the siren sounded.

These memories are growing dimmer by the day. My kids are loyal Demons and one of our great hopes is to share in the celebration of a Demon's premiership together.

my brother is a die hard Hawks fan, and while being extremely frustrated while watching games this year at the end of every one he says, "at least I saw a premiership" with a big arse smile on his face.
