Thread answered. We were always going to beat the Shockers.

If Jurrah and Rivers play... then yes we can beat the Dockers.

Thank you, thank you very much :D

It depends on Freo's mood. If they come out and play like they did against Port, we'll get done comfortably. If they just rock up like its a low-key training session like they usually do, we'll be a chance...

just another low-key training session for the Dawk-ers  ...

Should've seen it coming...

Never in doubt.

Freo are awful.

Oh, they beat PA did they? OMG, they must be super-great!

Please...

Prescient.

And conceited...

Based on last week - not a hope.

Based on Freo's perfomances from their beginnings - Dees by 10 goals

Seeming people are quoting themselves I thought I'd join in. I got half of it right after all.

It was fantastic.!! You know what else I loved??? I loved barracking for the Dees and cheering each and every goal.

What was pleasing also was the fact that apart from the first part of the first quarter, they had a four quarter performance and I cant remember the last time they really did that... good foundations for next year and to think that was a real makeshift team with so many injuries so we can rightly be optimistic.

Sure, on form and current injuries etc we wont win the last two and we will grab those prized picks but Carlton will need to be on their game next week or they could well ruin our chances yet again with a poorly timed loss. I dont think so, they are aiming for top 4 even if they say they are not looking at that specifically.

Saints will want to finish the h/a on a winning note to take into the finals and I cant see us beating them.. next week is going to be a little tense till we see whos on and who's not...

I am very proud of the boys and although the opposition was mediocre to say the least, we didnt let up when we got a good lead - I am happy we won..makes the loss v Tigers well worth it.

Yes, we can.

Big inclusions and the retirements factor, I think the Dockers are in some trouble. Expecting a big one from Jurrah.

May as well throw my hat in the ring also, 4 goals later Jurrah proves me to be right on the money!

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
