Liam Jurrah nick-named "cougar"...why

It's strange to have another Wizard around the club again, particularly since the last one [censored] off and became a headcase.

But no such worries with Jurrah, he is a dead-set champ and to have overcome all the obstacles, the cultural and emotional barriers and tear a game apart after just four senior outings, is outstanding. He is clearly focused and determined as well as naturally gifted, which experience tells us is very important in the long-term success of Indigenous players.

I reckon he'll start to come out of his shell soon and you won't be able to shut him up! :D

Nice to see we have Sandra Sully here in great supply with the late news... ;)

I'm surprised you brought it up now, after it was brought up in the interview on Sunday after the game. Talk about late news.

Edit: You could get the spelling right also HT :P

Corrected just for you. :P

Was it as official and as well known then on Sunday, as it was at the press conference this morning 45h?

You're not bad 45, keep it up.

I try ;)

Two posters on this thread had already mentioned Warlpiri Wizard on Sunday.

I don't know, I just don't think a nickname can ever be "official." People will call him whatever they like - highlighted by the 4-5 nicknames written in this thread.

Even Bruce doesn't know what the nickname is, he's tossing up between "The Cougar", "The Jurrahcane" or "LL Cool J." These are added to "LJ", "Jooka," and "Warlpiri Wizard."
