I agree that there is an element of luck, but it also depends on the strength of the draft and the homework that the clubs do on the kids. 2003 was a pretty weak draft, just look at the rest of the top 10 in that year. 2009, while being affected by a change of age restriction, still looks pretty strong for the first half dozen picks or so.

We need to start winning games next year. Winning games this year is just a waste of time especially beating the likes of Richmond, North, Port, Freo and West Coast at home.Don't you remember 2007 it was a disaster beating Carlton surely we don't want to go through that again. Competitve losses will do me, not beating crap teams.

After Reading up on what GC17 were to be given next year i changed my views on 2009

High Draft Picks = Winning in 2009 The Prize is too big & the alternative is just more of the last 45 years. I know which one i want.
