Touching up the umpires

My recollections...

One umpire put himself between the ball and a Melb player and his opponent, and both flicked the ump as they ran past (first the Richmond player, then our boy... not sure who).

Another umpire went down like Green, but I think from the replays nobody touched him, he was just prancing backwards. Pretty woozy, he never came back I think.

Finally down the Punt Rd end, half forward line, an umpire put himself between a Melb player going full tilt into the contest and got brushed aside.

All stupid stuff by the ump's (if my fleeting observations and recollections are correct). Anyone see more detail, who was involved, etc?

And don't you love 'em, must say for once I agree with the Pres of the Tassie Hawks...

paul johnson made cantact with an umpire

yeah PJ was the last one, down the Punt Rd end. What I saw, it was definitely the ump's fault.

The other one involving the two players was earlier & more subtle, they both flicked him as they ran past (interesting if it was the same ump who was having a bad day as regards spatial orientation... )
