What's the source of BT's grudge?

Featured Replies

err, guys, are we talking about the right match re the Grinter incident? according to this team list, BT wasn't playing.....

maybe I'm thinking of a different Stretcha mark.....

can't find a pic but i have found the Youtube clip. It's at the 1.43 mark of the video.

No, it wasn't a finals match, it was during hte year, I remember Collingwood beat us by about 10 goals that day. I reckon it was about 1988 or 89, I remember we were in the Redlegs section in the Northern stand and I was with my brother and his mate, who brought along his fancy SLR camera and flukishly took a photo of Stretch's mark, as it was right in front of us.

Actually, I'm sure it was May 1989, Dad wasn't there because he was in America on holiday with my mum - I remember talking to him on the phone that evening.

Were the dogs fed that morning?

Don't own dogs ;P

but I was right about May 1989 as being when we lost to Collingwood by 10 goals! And that was the match Stretcha took that mark.

Don't mind me, I have a strange mind process when it comes to remembering stuff, my family are beyond calling me freakish.....

The footage of those marks you've posted, sooo many were taken over G.Lyon's back when he played.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
