Draft 2009?

Who else is bloody excited that we could have a forwardline combo of Watts/ Butcher? Could be the one to lead us to that elusive premiership.

Bate.

Bate doesn't do it for me as an strong overhead mark.

I just feel we need another robbo type. Maybe it could be garland, don't know.

Absolutely, I've thought Butcher & also Vickery are beauties since seeing tac cup games earlier in the season. Also liked Blease since seeing Vic Country v Vic Metro.

I've been hearing bits & pieces about a kid called Steven May, but he's even younger.

A lot of Buddy comparisons.

Steven May and Alex Keath are freaks. Keath is 196cm and 84kg and May is 190cm and 86kg. Luke MItchell should be in.

Not me. I'd rather look forward to seeing what we've already got be developed, or see their progress after another preseason.

No point falling in love with idea of Butcher, then seeing the kid end up at the filth or Carltank.

I couldn't stomach it.

Yep. That's true, guess we will have to see what happens next year.

Crocker, (maybe 2009 probably 2010) is the best parts of Delidio and Dale Thomas. Will win mark of the year one day

You heard it here first

The speed of Deledio, mixed with the homosexual aura of Dale Thomas.

Interesting mix.

Ha, i only just noticed this. So you think the best part of Dale Thomas is his "homosexual aura"? Everybody is entitled to their own opinion i guess

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
