DEMONS ASK FOR AFL AID

I really object to the way this article is framed. Yes, we are asking for money but part of the reason why is because the AFL has dealt Melbourne a programme devoid of the features that enables clubs like Collingwood and Carlton attract the best sponsors and the biggest crowds and the best stadium deals. As others have mentioned elsewhere, the difference between our draw and that of some of the other clubs is measured in millions of dollars.
