Thank you West Tank Eagles!!!!!

I just got back from the TAB with my $530 winnings.

At the start of this thread last week i told everyone to get on the Tigers as the Eagles will tank again.

I put $100 on the Tigers @ $2.30 under 39.5 points and $100 over 39.5 points @ $7.30,couldn't lose either way.

I [censored] myself when i saw Kerr run out i must admit.

Thanks again West Tank Eagles,$530 will come in handy,i'll upgrade my Dees Membership or spend it in the DEES shop.

Now who do the Tankers play next week

That leaves the Freo and Essendon games as the only danger matches, but at least we play Freo at Subi (and thank god we play Port at AAMI, where we haven't won a game since 1985).

Are you sure?

What about that match when Leoncelli kicked the winning goal. or was that at football park?

West Coast are resting Kerr for this weeks game against the Tigers.

They state that Kerr needs a rest due to a couple of niggles including the stingray sting.Would they rest him if they were playing for a top 4 position??? Absolutely not!

We all know they're tanking for the no. 1 pick so today I placed $100 on Richmond under 39.5 points and it's paying $2.30 or $1.83 head to head.

A sure bet I think.

The last time I placed a "tanking bet" was round 22,2003. Melbourne were playing West Coast and if we won we'd lose our priority pick, pick 3,Colin Sylvia. There was no way we were going to win that match and lose the priority pick.I made $235

So fellow Demonites, get down the TAB tomorrow and make a few $$$$$

West Coast will tank,easy money

Ummmmm. Richmond won by 77 points. They did not win by under 39.5points!

Sorry to make you feel that you lost the best. But....well.....YOU LOST YOUR MONEY.

It was against Adelaide at Football Park, I think. Is that what is now called AAMI Stadium?

$100 at $2.30 = loss of $100

$100 at $7.30 = profit of $630

Nett profit is $530 as claimed

Thanks Undeeniable,i don't think Hightower can read!!!

Look at what Worsfold said in an article today.

They will finish bottom easily.

I think we will finish 14th, and have thought that for a few weeks.

14. Melbourne

15. Freo

16. WC

Assuming that is the draft order, I would say that WC would pick Daniel Rich with pick 1.

Freo would take Natanui with pick 2, which means they can afford to lose Robbie Warnock.

We then take Watts with pick 3, and get Warnock in the PSD.

I am concerned............and I have been keeping an eye on Port Adelaide! Looks like we will miss the priority pick too: -

13. Melbourne 20 points (Wins against Fremantle, Kangaroos & West Coast)

14. Port Adelaide 16 points (keep losing)

15. Fremantle 12 points (win against West Coast)

16. West Coast 8 points (no wins)

Hightower, have you worked it out yet?

It's taking you a while, what's going on Man?

There's nothing like winning $530 on tanking that Demetriou says doesn't exist!!!!!!

Hightower,YOU WERE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok I was Wrr Wrr Wrr Wrrrrrrrrrrong! (If I can use hindsight as an excuse)

And I think you know why, based on your first post, you did lose at under 39.5 points, reading the REST of the thread, AFTER the game mind you, you decided to go each way under and over.....................so good on you!

Money well spent then. ;)

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
