I received my Heroes book yesterday. One week after ordering from Perth. Quite fast I reckon. If you haven't got your copy yet get one! It is very uplifting to read of the feats of our recent heroes as well as those further back. Ron Barassi, Robert Flower, David Schwarz, David Neitz, Stephen Tingay, Rod Grinter, Alan Johnson etc etc. Reading about these and many other great players gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling. A belief that you are lucky to be barracking for the Melbourne Football Club. Get a copy if you don't believe me! ( PS I am not a publicity officer for the MFC.)

    My copy turned up yesterday and i'm in South Australia, looks like the club has done a good job in getting these out. Will be looking forward to the end of next week when I can close the text books and open this one.

    Tingay's story was as sad as you can get if in VFL/AFL. He could have been as good as anyone but was struck down with an injury that the doctors were never able to fix or even what was causing the problem. All because a silly girl pushed him through a glass sliding door...

    Just got my copy, am looking forward to spending some time pouring through it, some time and effort has certainly been put in here.

    A high quality book, am going to have to buy one for my dad for Christmas :)
