Nick Malceski's synthetic ligament

The return of Nick Malceski after radical ACL surgery which included installing a synthetic ligament into his knee has been quite incredible. He blitzed last night with 28 touches and two goals and without him the Swans would almost certainly have tasted defeat last night.

As incredible as the surgery is the fact that he was able to make the return by going straight into the senior side without having to find form in lower grades as is usually the case with players from most clubs including ours. I know the injuries are different but Ricky Petterd who was injured several weeks after Petterd, is coming back through the Zebra reserves today. Matty Bate played one game in the Sandy ressies and two in the seniors before he could get back into the side.

That makes Malceski's comeback even more extraordinary!

His first couple of games back weren't too great. Something like 12 touches in both.

Not sure where he was AA last year but he would've been close

Its a shame this wasnt around when The Ox did his first knee.

I'd be happy if they shoved a synthetic ligament in the Ox's mouth.
