  1. The long wait to see Blease in action at the top level was really worthwhile. He made a Clayton's start against the Bulldogs in round 15 when he came on late as the substitute but then went back to Casey. Blease persevered and eventually won a Rising Star nomination with his pace and brilliant footskills late in the season to stamp himself as player of the future. 2. The season provided a good learning curve for the young rookie who has blistering pace that enables him to be creative in general play and to exert great pressure on opponents. Had his ups and downs but looks a prospect. Games CSFC 2011 13 Goals CSFC 2011 11 Games CSFC Reserves 2011 4 Goals CSFC Reserves 2011 4
  3. The young Demon utility's career was on a steeply upward curve until a knee injury struck him down before the mid point of the season. He recovered to play again in the final match but we're looking for better things from him with an injury-free 2012. 5. The Demon tall man was making good strides in the ruck at Casey biding his time and waiting for an opportunity to return to the AFL when tragedy struck against the Northern Bullants. On the same weekend that number one ruckman Jamar injured his knee, Spencer damaged his ACL and missed the rest of the season following a knee reconstruction. He will miss the pre season and the early part of 2012. Games MFC 2011 0 MFC Total 8 Goals MFC 2011 0 MFC Total 0 Games CSFC 2011 5 2011 Goals CSFC 2011 0

Davis suffered from thyroid issues through the pre season but came back and performed well as a tall defender at Casey in his first year on the list and this should hold him in good stead looking forward to the future. 8. Jetta's year was plagued by injuries including a broken hand and a shoulder that required surgery. In between he started showing his undoubted talent and his hardness at the football. 9. An exciting find for the club, the high marking Howe showed many dimensions to his game. He proved to be not only good around goal, but also played some good football when played further afield with his excellent foot skills and decision making. 10. Gawn was not expected to play much senior footy if at all but a combination of injuries to other ruckmen and his own outstanding form at Casey saw him play four AFL games this year. Another pre season and some hard work in the gym and on the track could see him rise to regular status at the top level. 11. Davey had a poor season. He was often tagged heavily and he suffered a knee injury that kept him out for half a season and from which he never really recovered. His frustration told on him late in the season when he was uncharacteristically involved in an incident which saw him incur a week's suspension for striking. 13. One of the club's big improvers in 2011, Martin came back from off season hip surgery to play a major role as the second ruckman to Mark Jamar. Moreover, when the Russian and Jake Spencer were both injured on the same weekend in late April, Martin competently took over the mantle of the team's main man in the ruck and he did it well. 19. The former Hawthorn premiership ruckman had a late start to the season due to lingering Achilles tendon problems and only came along slowly during the season. 20. Topped the goalkicking with 40 goals and produced touches of brilliance mixed in with some moments of disappointment. The thing we sometimes forget with the Warlpiri Wizard is that he has played just 35 games at the elite level and is still learning to come to grips with the game's nuances such as the need to exert more pressure on opponents when they have the football. 21. Brent Moloney had his best season so far since coming to the club from Geelong in 2005 winning the Keith "Bluey" Truscott Medal and polling 19 votes in the Brownlow Medal - the best for the club in over a decade.
