He should never be in that position to begin with, before Salem we've lacked creative players that can use the footy coming of half back. We would continually get bogged down in our defensive 50. I'd like to think with this attacking game plan and personnel changes there would be less need for him to try this. If he spoils the ball or takes an intercept mark there should be someone close at hand to help clean up.

On behalf of P-man I won't be commenting on Grimes until after the 3rd game. Was great to hear Watts played well, he now needs to back it up next week. The other one who continues make the same mistakes is Garland yet continues to escape criticism on this site. Many say Frost should be down back. I'd like to see Frost/Dunn/Tmac as our 3 talls down back and Watts/Pedo/Hogan up forward and 4 mids/flankers on the bench.

What type of coach does he come across as? He's had 1 game, I thought it would be too early to form an opinion either way.

Coming from behind to win is massive for our side as many have already alluded to we would normally just pack it in from there pre season or not. What was just as important was it was against an interstate side, we didn't have Jones and Vince play, we had a lot of new faces and we played a different style of footy.

If we're being honest we don't have many players over the age of 23 that bring much to the side, Jones and Vince bring a lot, I think it will do us the world of good to not have those two play. Interesting to see who stands up, plenty of articles in recent weeks, let's see who delivers. I still think there's 3-4 spots up for grabs for rd 1 and about 13 players vying for them.

You start by saying a "we'll end up having a team devoid of skill", you follow that up with "I've got Grimes as a starting wingman" ???? Players need - to be competitive - possess good to elite skills - footy smarts - to come to play every week
