  1. Fantastic news! What's not to like about Hannan? Only one season in and he has shown a lot of tricks. Great pickup and will only get better.
  2. With the Golden Slipper just over 2 weeks away, does anything stand out in the early markets @Wadda We Sing @Macca @binman? Santos is currently $11 but I'm unsure if he can topple some of the more fancied runners. Obviously I want to see the horse win but Sunlight and Written by have been nothing short of outstanding to date. Those two will be hard to beat IMO.
  3. It will be interesting when the squad gets announced. ANB looks like missing and Harmes trained away from the main group according to training reports. Kent stated at the family day he was looking forward to Thursday night and the shoulder was feeling good. Maybe he's a chance to play.
  4. I meant Joel Smith, his injury is listed as (Left). Sorry, bad attempt at a joke.
  5. Where did Joel Smith go? I asked Kent about his shoulder at the family day and he said all is good. Also said he was looking forward to Thursday, is he a chance to play?
  6. That's why I was curious. If it was a case of a common cold or family commitments Robbo surely could have mentioned it like he did with Daisy. The fact they announced Number 5 Trac and then straight to number 3 Salem was peculiar. Was the club worried about the reaction from supporters when he said " Our new number 4 is ....." surely not!
  7. To anyone that attended. Did anyone see Harmes out there? I noticed Robbo didn't call out his number and name on stage at the end when all players of both teams were getting called up. More curious than anything as Robbo made it clear why Daisy was absent but no mention of Harmes.
  8. Macca on fire! Missed out on the multi but finished in front thanks to Scarecrow in the "Get Out" Stakes. It's been fun again guys.
  9. Yes ET, exactly what I thought driving back home. It was so hot that day even indoors, the coach back then held the half time team talk outside in the shade between the stands. Sheesh...
  10. It's still on the radar last I heard. Depends on her Autumn campaign but @Maccamight be able to shed some more light on it. Edit: Oops, I see you already posted while I was typing Macca.
  11. Good job Macca, yeah Grunt too strong, I had a little something each way on Bring Me Roses. Lucky I chose her instead of Levendi.
  12. In 2013 I drove from Brisbane to Southport oval to watch us in a practice match against Gold Coast because I was excited by the acquisition of Tom Gillies, the next Brian Lake.
  13. That was the only horse my mate was worried about.
  14. I thought due to the horses ability it gave itself every chance of winning even though it probably covered more turf than any other.
  15. Unlucky, caught 3 wide the whole trip. Not a good ride by the jock. Jumped well and didn't push on to sit outside leader, tried to take it back and slot in but was caught in no mans land.
  16. Lol I just realised it's in one of our races.
  17. Yeah he was in there somewhere, he said it was a big win. Happy days at Randwick for connections and it's still a colt....
  18. It was $201 for the Slipper prior to its Pierro Plate win a fortnight ago. PL kicking in as I didn't put a dollar on it at those odds. Not saying it will win but it might have been a decent cash out offer.
  19. Phew!!! Showed some guts and hopefully it improves some more going forward.
  20. Yeah, I was staggered when I saw that, I was trying to be nice about it in the earlier post. It was even more staggering that the commentators thought it was a brilliant play. That was a classic example of nearly costing a team the game.
  21. Best Value: Flemington Race 7 No.4 Levendi $18.00W $5.20P No.16 Bring Me Roses $18.00 $5.20P Both horses ran well first up and although it's a very tricky race the odds are appealing. I looked outside the fancied runners and the above offer terrific value. They both seem to like the track. Good luck all!
  22. Indeed, March 2nd is way too early for palpitations.
  23. I'm making Alizee my "Best". Will nominate a couple of roughies after further studying.
