A Day at the Races
$9 is the best I have seen so far, was hoping it would blow out a bit more after drawing 16.

Barrier draw commencing shortly. Really liked the run of Marmelo in the Caulfield cup and looks better suited over 3200m.

Nice work. The quaddie dividend surprised me as well. I cost myself by leaving out Ace High, almost as inexcusable as our Rd 23 performance. Huge win. You would have thought I jumped on this thread for a reason. I liked Tom Melbourne today and ProperDee talked up Shillelagh so I took the quinella. Happy to end up in front on Derby day.

A Day at the Races
Sorry mate, I didn't mean to sound like I had full ownership in one of my previous posts, I was only involved in a small percentage of a broodmare and inherited the same percentage in all her foals. Problem was the syndicate manager took her to stud every year for 6 years and the costs were too high in the end. Your not wrong about needing luck just to break even.

Main Stage in the Derby is part owned by Dusty and a few other Richmond boys. I won't be backing it because I don't do Richmond well but everything they touch has turned to gold this year especially Mr Main Stage himself.

A Day at the Races
Cheers Macca, Derby day is my favourite and like you mentioned best betting day on the calendar. I owned a few horses myself but sold out about two years ago. A friend in Sydney stayed in and needless to say those horses ended up multiple city winners. He gets some tips from the Waterhouse camp but no success lately. ProperDee mentioned horses that have finished top two in their most recent starts figure prominently and that's a pattern I have followed lately. I can't wait for the tribe to go to bed tonight, a lot of reading to do.

A Day at the Races
Hi, I'm a bit late to the party and just started discovering other threads. I thoroughly enjoy horse racing especially this time of year and I'm looking forward to future discussions and thoughts from you.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
When is Lever back from Europe? Bring on his first interview with Burgo already!!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Lol, in that clip he certainly did. Not a bad goal either against us, just trying to determine if it was his nifty footwork or the magnificent attempt to tackle him that created that goal.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
How nice of us to pack him an MFC polo for his trip to Europe.

For real, 27? I'm clueless when it comes to drafts and points systems but surely not. I just read Impey became a Hawk for pick 31 and some swaps later on in draft. 27 seems rich. Not having a go at you by the way, just the asking price.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
According to the following, we will be going to the draft with picks 27,35 and 45. http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-10-12/melbourne-secures-lever-in-trade-deal?camefrom=EMCL_1895168_76481353

First class, nice work Snake, could have taken a little less cash so the club hired something better than the acoustic duo we had to put up with during the B&F.

This is childish by Adelaide if true. It's ok Jake, I'm sure we can find you a spot at our B&F on Monday night, your most welcome to attend.

Should Bernie be worried about his upcoming wedding? If I was Bernie I'd throw a late invite to Lever.

No mention of duration.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Liked what Mahoney said. Other clubs offered more than us for Lever yet he chose us. Also Hogan going nowhere!

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Does it hurt Adelaide to say he nominated Melbourne? Their CEO was just on SEN and repeatedly used the Victorian club line.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Most are keen to erase the memories of 0.5 and Richmond winning the flag, this seems a good starting point, now to keep Watts....

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Fox sports news just showed the Lever interview again but a slightly extended version of Ch7. BT : Did you or your management speak to any other clubs in the process? JL : Yes, but the Melbourne Footy Club was always the one that my manager and myself were comfortable with.

About 2 minutes, was on the channel 7 sports segment, more like a coffee and chat. I'm sure the more computer savvy Demonlanders will have it here soon or even before I post.- Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That was the best interview BT has done, to hear Lever say it feels sooooooo good. - Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
