A Day at the Races
Just watched the replay of the race. Did the horse get spooked? Youāre right Macca, suddenly stepped sideways. Thatās two falls today.
-
A Day at the Races
Did anyone catch the latest on Jack Hill? He had a horrible fall in the first at Adelaide and layed motionless up to the time they turned their attention to Flem. I only caught a bit prior to the second race in Adelaide and I believe I heard heās conscious and talking. Hoping all is well, the fall looked terrible.

Heavily backed too, a work mate had all his multis centered around Portman, thought it was a āgood thingā. It was caught a bit wide but disappointing all the same. The winner could have gone another lap without being run down. The Flemington track is a beauty on a sunny day. Quite picturesque.

Sheās a promising filly. I was on her each way last start and it was a terrific run coming from the rear. She looked the winner at one stage. The first (Rimraam) and second ( Bring Me Roses) horses in that race three weeks ago have gone on to place in their next starts against quality opposition. Judging by that I can understand the logic behind it. Iāve noticed my ā Roughieā might be running with 3 legs today, itās blown out to $31 now. I must be missing something....

Gigantic odds Wadda. My shout if this gets up? Nice pick @binman I had trouble deciding between Shillelagh and Gailo Chop. My āRoughie/Each Wayā Flem R4 No1. Run Naan $26W $6.20P Can't really state that a Group 2 race is a drop in class but this horse has been racing against the best. First attempt at the 1400m, drawn wide so a roughie in the true sense. Good Luck all!

Yes, youāre spot on, 5 max. I just got in the Tab app and tried a 6 horse multi and it said no deal.

A Day at the Races
Terrific value at $11 but youād have to go back to 2009 for a horse (Phelan Ready) at double figure odds winning the Slipper. Thatās a good question, Iām not sure the number of legs permitted for a horse multi. Iāve only tried a max of 4.

A Day at the Races
Well....youāve said it before. Any Gai runner is a chance, like on here, my mate knows there are some very talented sprinters in the race. Yeah, $11W $3.50P currently.( TAB)

Itād be nice to get this one home. Since you have given us the Newmarket winner Iāve decided on Merchant Navy/Brave Smash quinella/exacta.?
-
A Day at the Races
Yeah, he had no cover for most of the race, hence connections being ecstatic with the win. I thought Caulfield was the only track where the wind causes chaos.

A Day at the Races
Some feedback from my Santos mate. There was a very strong head wind last week at Randwick and Santos faced the brunt of it during the run. It was a very tough and gutsy win as the horse looked like he might get swamped with about 100-200m to go.

A Day at the Races
I was torn between two runners for āBestā. Shillelagh and Gailo Chop. Best Bet: Flemington Race 8 No.4 Gailo Chop. Odds: $3.00 Shillelagh is the highest rated horse in her race and her form reads better than it shows. Samovare (favourite) worried me out of it. Went with the Chop as he has been earmarked for this all along and you canāt fault him at the moment. I go back to a Caulfield review of a few weeks ago when the experts stated he would be extremely hard to beat in the Australian Cup. I noticed heās drifted a tad to the $3 mark as Almandin has come in from $6 to $5.50 in the last 24 hours. Enjoyable viewing coming up on Saturday and go the Dees!!

A Day at the Races
Sorry fellas on a quick break. I like Merchant Navy a lot but Iām glad @Wadda We Sing picked it because I can count my winners down the straight over the years on the one hand. Im having trouble so far but plenty of time left to find a āspesssshallllā.?

A Day at the Races
I browsed through Sydney and Melbourne and thereās definitely some great value on offer. Ace High seems to be getting the wobbles in the markets. Out to $14 as of tonight. Heās drawn well and could easily find himself in the first few on the fence. Show A Star (Race 9 Syd) has drawn poorly again and although the $8 is tempting itās best to wait on him at this stage. Some real shorties going around in the sprint races in Sydney. At this early stage Shillelagh (R7 Flemington) looks a good bet at $4.20. Edit: Brave Smash back in distance.....hmmm? Craig Williams suggested this according to a news story I came across a few days ago.

Lol, $7.25(P) currently. Juicy odds.

A Day at the Races
Hi Wadda, current odds for Ace High in the Guineas. $11W $2.90P. In the Australian Derby 2400m (April 7th Randwick) he's the $6 favourite.

Mitch Hannan Signs on until 2020
Fantastic news! What's not to like about Hannan? Only one season in and he has shown a lot of tricks. Great pickup and will only get better.

A Day at the Races
With the Golden Slipper just over 2 weeks away, does anything stand out in the early markets @Wadda We Sing @Macca @binman? Santos is currently $11 but I'm unsure if he can topple some of the more fancied runners. Obviously I want to see the horse win but Sunlight and Written by have been nothing short of outstanding to date. Those two will be hard to beat IMO.

Injury List - Season 2018
I meant Joel Smith, his injury is listed as (Left). Sorry, bad attempt at a joke.

Injury List - Season 2018
Where did Joel Smith go? I asked Kent about his shoulder at the family day and he said all is good. Also said he was looking forward to Thursday, is he a chance to play?

Family Day 2018 Returns to the 'G (Sunday 4/3/18)
That's why I was curious. If it was a case of a common cold or family commitments Robbo surely could have mentioned it like he did with Daisy. The fact they announced Number 5 Trac and then straight to number 3 Salem was peculiar. Was the club worried about the reaction from supporters when he said " Our new number 4 is ....." surely not!

Family Day 2018 Returns to the 'G (Sunday 4/3/18)
To anyone that attended. Did anyone see Harmes out there? I noticed Robbo didn't call out his number and name on stage at the end when all players of both teams were getting called up. More curious than anything as Robbo made it clear why Daisy was absent but no mention of Harmes.
