  1. Statistically, Kent’s best season was 2016. He played 20 games that year and was great I thought. Maybe if he can get his body right, he could surprise.
  2. Something’s wrong here........are we all watching the same game?
  3. Casey Twitter providing updates. Weideman with 2 goals. 21-2
  4. Curious as to the thoughts on Dean Kent. The non-listing of Brayshaw as an emergency has created some discussion. Personally it’s pleasing to see Kent getting closer for a senior berth perhaps. Bit of a forgotten man....hopefully he plays a beauty at Casey today to at least keep the competition for forward spots fierce.
  5. ? Little paddle-pop lion look-a-like!!
  6. Best Bet: Rosehill R9 No.5 Osborne Bulls. Currently a $3 chance with TAB. Finished off really well last start after being luckless for most part of the straight and should be too good for this lot. Edit: Ken’s Dream is terrific value at $6 in Race 8 at Caulfield. If they are running on, it could be worth a few bucks.
  7. Interesting LH, some angry finger pointing by Hardwick. The commentators were quick to state the supporter shouldn’t be getting “lippy”, admittedly we have no idea what was said but no negative comment about Hardwick. It wasn’t the case when Oliver had an altercation with the Carlton fan last year.
  8. Pretty good team effort by the Crows considering the injuries. Sloane was huge in the second half.
  9. If he did participate during the ruck drills today i missed it LH. He did some work forward today but the regulars are better placed to comment. He was asked after training by a fan if he’s playing this week and his answer was yes. On Friday!
  10. It was more a comment toward the particular player that joked with Max, not the actual shot but the sarcasm was appreciated.
  11. Moved well, he was mostly with midfield group, it was a tad difficult following all of them with the constant bib changing.
  12. Hi all. Training started around 10am and lasted about 60 minutes. It was a light session and not one of the most intense we have seen. The 6 day break and upcoming warm conditions could be the reason. Notable absentees from Sunday were Trac, Hunt and Vince. McKenna ran laps most session. There were 33-34 players in the main warm-up excluding Weid, King and Filipovic. They were in a drill together with Stafford, it lasted about 15 minutes and eventually joined the main group. In the first half an hour or so there were a lot of short drills set out concentrating on stoppages and rapid ball movement. Players were constantly changing groups. It was blustery out there at times and the wind favoured the end the forwards were stationed at. The centre bounce drill would involve the rucks tapping the ball down to the mids and then a pass on to the forwards. A lot of the forwards ran under the ball, not sure if they misjudged the flight or there was too much on the kick. It happened a lot actually in the short time. Hogan was the only one able to read the flight and take a few marks. Hogan moved really well, had a bandage of some sort on but was not hindered at all. Salem was another of the injury concerns that moved freely. There was no match sim drill with the short session. At the end players were given a 15 minute period of “ playtime” where they would try and kick snaps and torps through the goals. When most were leaving I noticed Maynard hunched over talking to one of the coaches. Also Hannan and Goodwin had a 5 minute one on one in the centre of the ground. Right in front of me Max kicked a 60 metre torp through the goals and Pedders yelled out “ Why couldn’t you do that on Sunday?” Not much else to report unfortunately as the session was over quickly. Hope this helps.
  13. Jesse is moving well, as is Salem. Notable absentees are, Vince, Hunt and Trac. Is there a training thread for this week anywhere?
  14. They arrived about 5 minutes ago. Going through their warm up, about 34 in main group. Weid, King and Filipovic training together with Stafford. Can’t spot Vince though.
  15. Hogan is on the track. Was heading home if he wasn’t.
  16. We’ve harped on disposal efficiency many times before and it looked like he had a few howlers throughout the day but he was our highest on 93%. It contradicts what we see. Petracca for example went at 58% for the day and he clearly was one of our best for the day.
  17. Yep, all you have to do is look at the Guthrie goal in the second quarter. Infuriating!!
  18. Sorry OD, carried on a tad with my response. IMO, yes to answer your question.
  19. Pffft Plough!!! Conveniently he names Lewis as our third highest possession winner and only having 6 kicks but Trac had the same amount of possessions with 14 kicks and no mention of him. 2 out of 3 Cats’ highest possession winners had more handballs than kicks.
  20. From all reports OD , Tyson was having one of his best pre seasons and only missed JLT 1 and a couple of weeks of training. He played JLT 2 and a Casey game the week before round 1 in which he was supposedly BOG. Compare that Lewis - 1 quarter of football in JLT 1 due to calf. ANB- AFLX and JLT 1. Week off training due to groin/thigh. Garlett - JLT 2 and a Casey game. Bugg and Brayshaw played AFLX , JLT1 and JLT2 and couldn’t get a look in. That’s a lot more game time than a couple of names above.
  21. From the 5 talking points article. Pre-game, Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin said Angus Brayshaw and Dom Tyson had simply been overlooked for selection, such is the strength of the Dees' depth. So glad we can simply overlook those 2.
