One way traffic in the Penguins game yesterday. They should close it out at home in game 5. Leafs V Bruins about to start, looking forward to this one.

A Day at the Races
Ha Ha Macca, I thought this would be easier than trying to find a best bet. I have 4 horses down for the place at the moment, hoping binman picks one of them so Iām down to 3.

A Day at the Races
Best Bet: Randwick Race3 No.2 Dothraki Current odds: Tab $2.70 Ultra consistent gelding. Only one unplaced start in the last 5 and that was by only 3.9len. The dangers I came up with in the race are Burning Passion (3) and Bolero King (8). Dothraki beat both of them home last start carrying 59kg. He carried 2kg more than Burning Passion and 6kg more than Bolero King on that occasion. He meets them much better this week at the weights and for that reason I make him my top selection. Respect for the top weight also coming back from 2 Group 1ās. The Zephyr has accepted at Ballarat on Sunday. Race 7. Very surprised they would choose to run the horse at 1000m. I will have some mail by Sunday for those that would consider a buck or two on him. Remember, still on a 17 run losing streak. ??

Vegas Golden Knights sweep the LA Kings. The Golden Knights became the first NHL team to sweep a Stanley Cup playoff series in its inaugural season. Bravo!! The games were a lot closer than the series score suggests. Four 1 goal victories to the Knights. Caps get back one on Columbus to keep the series alive and it looks like the Wild are up against it going back to Winnipeg 3-1 down.

A Day at the Races
Anti climax. They didnāt accept with Dan Zephyr on Saturday. Heās nominated for a race at Ballarat on Sunday but weāll worry about that if Saturday proves less than fruitful.

A Day at the Races
Lol, well done Macca, PL eliminated indeed. $6 for 100%. We could worse than that. That was a great dividend for the race you mention above, youāve always said it though, the bigger races generate ridiculous pools sometimes, hence the decent dividends.

The playoffs are indeed frantic, I watched the Boston v Leafs game this morning and it was non-stop action. Check out this ridiculous save by the winning goalie.

A Day at the Races
Done deal Macca. No pressure on me because I know you three will box the trifecta with your winning selections.

A Day at the Races
Dan Zephyr has performed ok at set weights. Heās had about 3 or 4 starts. 3rd in the Gold Bullion at Pakenham in 2015 to Burning Front, 3rd again in the same race in 2016, this time to Grande Rosso and Burning Front. A 4th by 1.9 lengths at $51 to Redzel in The Heath back in November 2016. Those days are truly behind him now unfortunately.

http://racingaustralia.horse/FreeFields/Weights.aspx?Key=2018Apr21,VIC,Caulfield These are the fields for Caulfield at āweightsā stage. Acceptances are tomorrow morning. Will go through all his form now to see if heās had a start at weight for age.

A Day at the Races
Also, the Zephyr is nominated for two decent races at Caulfield again this week. One is a set weights race, I donāt think heās ever had a start in one of those, Iāll have to check.

A Day at the Races
Come to think of it, Macca is spot on, the onus falls on the 4th contributor. Happy with more suggestion fellas, I donāt want to blow the first trifecta. @Wadda We Sing have your leathers ready!! Make sure youāre in the film clip

A Day at the Races
That will work Macca. Iām still putting my hand up for the 4th contributor this week.

Lol, I really should have boiled the kettle before typing

A Day at the Races
Hi fellas. It was your idea @Macca, more than happy for you to have a selection for the win. Iām happy to be the 4th this week or maybe we can go with an emergency system. For example, Wadda, Macca, Binman place a selection for 1st which also goes in for 2nd and 3rd. That leaves 3 horses for 2nd and 3rd to be added, hope Iām getting this right. The same 3 people each pick a horse for the additional placegetters. If selections arenāt in say by 12.00pm on raceday in steps the emergency with their selection of a winner and additional placegetter. I hope that makes sense, long day at work today. Edit: Happy to run with the consensus.

A Day at the Races
Heās a beauty Macca. No need to black book it as Iām sure youāll be all over it when he returns. Placed more than half his starts at Group & Listed level, runs ok in the wet and maybe you have mentioned it previously but I wasnāt aware the horse started its career in NSW where it didnāt register a single win apart from a barrier trial. The move West certainly worked.

A Day at the Races
I like your idea so much that Iāve looked at the possible fields for Saturday at Randwick. Iām guessing fields will be finalised in the next couple of days but the All Aged Stakes is shaping up as a really good race. http://racingaustralia.horse/FreeFields/Weights.aspx?Key=2018Apr21,NSW,Royal Randwick

A Day at the Races
@Macca Thatās where 3-4 brains working together can provide a name such as Miss Admiration. Only 3 lengths off the winner in the VRC Oaks. Like @Wadda We Sing suggested āWorking From Homeā was a decent chance of winning in a post early in the day on Saturday. Made mention of some money coming in for the horse due to the wet weather.

A Day at the Races
Great suggestion Macca, Iām all for new suggestions and thereās definitely no harm in trying. Itās been difficult the last few weeks trying to find standouts, this way we can concentrate on a race or two and not having to worry about scouting far and wide.

A Day at the Races
Gāday Macca. Thanks for posting, this thread runs hot once a week unlike some of the other threads on the footy board, they will probably remain on fire for the next 8 days. Nice and calm over here, at least until I watch the Alizee race.

NHL
Watched the Caps v Jackets game today. Thought Columbus were a sneaky chance to win the series but didnāt expect them to go back home 2-0 up. Will follow them closely as Artemi Panarin is one of my favourite players. Still gutted the Hawks traded him. Do you give the Kings any chance from 3-0 down?

A Day at the Races
Thanks Macca. Personally, Iād love to see a match race between Winx and one of her rivals. Never going to happen though. Watching the American style of racing reminded me of a great story about the little champ āSeabiscuitā during the Great Depression. I highly recommend the book to anyone that enjoys racing. Seabiscuit- Three Men And A Racehorse We are lucky we have seen two of the finest thoroughbreds in Black Caviar and Winx. We are often reminded of Australiaās rich racing history with Phar Lap and Tulloch, the Seabiscuit story adds to the history of racing in general. Hereās a video of a match race. This is only a small part of the story and hopefully not a spoiler.

Yes, money back Macca. In excess of 60k for the quaddie, I know a few that follow jockeys but not many that would follow D.Moor.
-
A Day at the Races
Wow, D Moor rides the quaddie at Caulfield. Had to throw a couple of bucks on Working From Home, seems that is what we are doing today.

A Day at the Races
Tough day Macca all round, lucky I didnāt follow Saint Velorem, stayed in the barriers and missed the start by 7 lengths, that feels like a win.
